Just spitballing here… Maybe we should study people who are willing to murder. Then we contrast them with people who don’t have violent tendencies. As an added bonus, we can study people who are both successful and nonviolent. We should check to see if these groups were raised in different environments. Did they have different levels of responsibility? Did they have people depending on them? Did they have children and/or significant others? I feel like all of this is relevant.
