Black Rights Group’s Armed 2A ‘Unity Walk’ in Austin Demands Reparations, Attacks Illegal Immigration, Open Borders

A group of black gun owners with the Elmer ‘Geronimo’ Pratt Pistol & Rifle Gun Club marched in a “Second Amendment Unity Walk” in Austin, Texas Saturday, calling attention to illegal immigration and demanding reparations.

They also attacked the Biden administration for, as they said, pandering to Asians after hate crime killings in Atlanta, but ignoring the killing of blacks in Buffalo by an avowed white supremacist.

Police led the march featuring scores of participants, many of whom open carried handguns and long guns. They chanted against illegals and demanded Biden “close the border.” They also demanded a hate crime bill to protect blacks from white supremacists.

According to the group’s leader, “General E.” this is their third year doing this “Unity Walk” and they claimed successes from both the first year’s campaign against no-knock warrants and the second year’s march drawing attention to a man supposedly held eight years without a trial.

“We need to start holding these politicians accountable,” General E. said. “Our vote isn’t something they can take advantage of anymore. Historically, black people have always voted Democrat for the last sixty years. We’re not going to give our vote away for free any more.”

Armed activists with a coalition of black self-defense groups marched in Austin, Texas over the weekend calling for an end to illegal immigration and demanding that President Biden close the borders.

Some of the activists chanted ‘close the borders’ and ‘take your a** home’ as they marched toward the Texas Capitol in the ‘Second Amendment Unity Walk’ on Saturday. 

The march was led by The Elmer ‘Geronimo’ Pratt Pistol & Rifle Gun Club. Their demands also included reparations for descendants of enslaved people and a hate crime bill protecting Black Americans.

The group faced opposition from a handful of Trump supporters and other protesters gathered at the Texas State Capitol to support January 6 defendants.

Saturday’s march comes after Texas Gov. Abbott and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey sent thousands of migrants by bus to Washington, D.C., New York City, and Chicago, Illinois – all three sanctuary cities that have pledged not to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement. 

The gun-toting march gained the attention of some in the mainstream media who had previously sensationalized law-abiding Americans marching and protesting while armed.

General E. and his followers didn’t make friends with supporters of January 6th protesters who have been jailed by the Biden Administration. In fact, the Unity March people described the January 6th people as “White privilege at its finest.”

And in case anyone thought the group’s criticism of Biden’s open borders and the open display of firearms meant support for Republicans, a speaker for the group said . . .

‘Republicans, do not dare to make the mistake of thinking you will get our vote just because we believe in exercising our Second Amendment.’

‘Yes, I’m talking to you Ted Cruz and Governor Abbott.’

‘Don’t think we are standing with you because we are against illegal immigration.’

As the Daily Mail reports, the group plans to return to the Texas state house next year to lobby for legislation.

      • By the time the “reparations” flow through the bureaucracy and are divided up among the claimants, it would be at best a few thousand dollars each. Hardly an amount that will make any real difference to anyone.

        So watch for more “protests” for more reparations.

      For years I have called for Reparations as long as the funding source is the democRat Party. After all the democRat Party owns the legacy of slavery, segregation, Jim Crow, lynching, Eugenics, the kkk, Gun Control and other race based atrocities. Atrocities that occurred not only in the South but also in the North, East and West…wherever there were bigots.

      Equally blind are the marching Black Gun owners who do not have the sense to single out the democRat Party and hold the party monetarily responsible like the way democRats hold tobacco companies and other businesses responsible for age old wrongs.

      A good portion of the aforementioned can be attributed to ignorance that allows the history rewriting media to go unchecked and remove race based atrocities from the neck of the democRat Party and hang it around the neck of the Party of Lincoln. And whose words assists the media? That would be Gun Owning bigots who use terms like baby mamas, Chiraq, etc. Then there are the knee jerk crime fighters who wager on a perp being Black all because the crime was close to Atlanta. Murderous perp turned out to be white and the betting bigots were nowhere to be found. With such ignorance and twisted thinking that does nothing but lend credibility to Gun Control it’s no wonder the 2A is constantly under attack.

      Bottom line…A Black American belonging to the democRat Party makes as much sense as a Jew belonging to the nazi party.

      • You are confused about reparations, but you’re in a lot of company. Reparations is the payment the government makes to someone for taking their property, as in ‘reparations for property seized to build a road’.

        The British payed reparations when they peacefully ended slavery, and it cost so much they only finished paying the loan off about 50 years ago. It also resulted in far less turmoil than the US executive order did.

        Reparations go to the legal property owner. Slavery was (past tense) legal, so the money went to the slave-owners. The law had requirements of each owner to teach the slaves a trade (an apprenticeship) and to fund the freed people as an apprentice, giving them the normal apprenticeship fee on completion.

        I know it seems shocking to pay ‘evil slave-owners’, but reparations at the time worked, and worked well. In the US the question of reparations is moot, no American living has any connection to slavery or is effected by it today.

    • Reparations are paid to survivors of oppressive actions perpetrated by a state or group. There are no living survivors of government sanctioned slavery, so these people are looking for free money.

    • They are free to form another party – our 2 party system has just polarized our country. While most of us want the same things, what floats to the top is our differences, which are exploited and turned into hate. Neither party wants limited government, they both want total control. Freedom means they step back to allow the citizens to be free and not support corporations and other causes.
      “We, the People” does not include Corporations, a Federal standing Military, or even full time politicians.

  6. I fully support and appreciate their position on 2A rights and being against illegal immigration and open borders. I am totally against the idea of “reparations”.

    • The only constitutionally legal argument for reparations is for reimbursement to the descendants of those who lost their property (slaves) to government seizures and actions. A surprising number of those are, however, black. The owner of the most slaves in Louisiana at the outbreak of the civil war was a black woman. In any case, I wait with bated breath to see who claims their just due.

  9. I support their positions on 2A, and illegal immigration, can’t support someone who never was enslaved getting money from someone who never owned slaves. Someone who kills anyone because of race is just as bad no matter who is the victim or the perpetrator. They plan on replacing all of us not just whites.   33. My perspective on providing reparations leads me to a very similar response as my perspective on the morality of hunting. As soon as someone can prove to me that I enslaved them, I will compensate them. Similarly, as soon as an elk asks me not to shoot and eat it, I won’t.

  38. In order for reparations to work, they’d have to prove their ancestors were slaves and they’re currently fully employed (at least trying to make a living) and living at the poverty level. It wouldn’t make sense to pay people like the Obamas, Oprah, etc. reparations.

    The only people who should pay them the reparations should be people with ancestors who owned slaves. They would have to have a high level of wealth or income. That’s the reasoning right? Some people benefited from slavery and some people did not.

    So who would pay? People like Beto, Kamala, and Ben Affleck. They’re descended from slave owners and doing well for themselves. I say let them pay. Let’s be done with this. Then never bring it up again.

    Irish….The Slaves That Time Forgot

    They came as slaves; vast human cargo transported on tall British ships bound for the Americas. They were shipped by the hundreds of thousands and included men, women, and even the youngest of children.

    Whenever they rebelled or even disobeyed an order, they were punished in the harshest ways. Slave owners would hang their human property by their hands and set their hands or feet on fire as one form of punishment. They were burned alive and had their heads placed on pikes in the marketplace as a warning to other captives.

    We don’t really need to go through all of the gory details, do we? After all, we know all too well the atrocities of the African slave trade. But, are we talking about African slavery?

    King James II and Charles I led a continued effort to enslave the Irish. Britain’s famed Oliver Cromwell furthered this practice of dehumanizing one’s next door neighbor.

    The Irish slave trade began when James II sold 30,000 Irish prisoners as slaves to the New World. His Proclamation of 1625 required Irish political prisoners be sent overseas and sold to English settlers in the West Indies. By the mid 1600s, the Irish were the main slaves sold to Antigua and Montserrat. At that time, 70% of the total population of Montserrat were Irish slaves.

    Ireland quickly became the biggest source of human livestock for English merchants. The majority of the early slaves to the New World were actually white.

    From 1641 to 1652, over 500,000 Irish were killed by the English and another 300,000 were sold as slaves. Ireland’s population fell from about 1,500,000 to 600,000 in one single decade. Families were ripped apart as the British did not allow Irish dads to take their wives and children with them across the Atlantic. This led to a helpless population of homeless women and children. Britain’s solution was to auction them off as well.

    During the 1650s, over 100,000 Irish children between the ages of 10 and 14 were taken from their parents and sold as slaves in the West Indies, Virginia and New England. In this decade, 52,000 Irish (mostly women and children) were sold to Barbados and Virginia. Another 30,000 Irish men and women were also transported and sold to the highest bidder. In 1656, Cromwell ordered that 2000 Irish children be taken to Jamaica and sold as slaves to English settlers.

    Many people today will avoid calling the Irish slaves what they truly were: Slaves. They’ll come up with terms like “Indentured Servants” to describe what occurred to the Irish. However, in most cases from the 17th and 18th centuries, Irish slaves were nothing more than human cattle.

    As an example, the African slave trade was just beginning during this same period. It is well recorded that African slaves, not tainted with the stain of the hated Catholic theology and more expensive to purchase, were often treated far better than their Irish counterparts.

    African slaves were very expensive during the late 1600s (50 Sterling). Irish slaves came cheap (no more than 5 Sterling). If a planter whipped or branded or beat an Irish slave to death, it was never a crime. A death was a monetary setback, but far cheaper than killing a more expensive African.

    The English masters quickly began breeding the Irish women for both their own personal pleasure and for greater profit. Children of slaves were themselves slaves, which increased the size of the master’s free workforce. Even if an Irish woman somehow obtained her freedom, her kids would remain slaves of her master. Thus, Irish moms, even with this new found emancipation, would seldom abandon their kids and would remain in servitude.

    In time, the English thought of a better way to use these women (in many cases, girls as young as 12) to increase their market share: The settlers began to breed Irish women and girls with African men to produce slaves with a distinct complexion. These new “mulatto” slaves brought a higher price than Irish livestock and, likewise, enabled the settlers to save money rather than purchase new African slaves.

    This practice of interbreeding Irish females with African men went on for several decades and was so widespread that, in 1681, legislation was passed “forbidding the practice of mating Irish slave women to African slave men for the purpose of producing slaves for sale.” In short, it was stopped only because it interfered with the profits of a large slave transport company.

    England continued to ship tens of thousands of Irish slaves for more than a century. Records state that, after the 1798 Irish Rebellion, thousands of Irish slaves were sold to both America and Australia.

    There were horrible abuses of both African and Irish captives. One British ship even dumped 1,302 slaves into the Atlantic Ocean so that the crew would have plenty of food to eat.

    There is little question that the Irish experienced the horrors of slavery as much (if not more in the 17th Century) as the Africans did. There is, also, very little question that those brown, tanned faces you witness in your travels to the West Indies are very likely a combination of African and Irish ancestry.

    In 1839, Britain finally decided on it’s own to end it’s participation in Satan’s highway to hell and stopped transporting slaves. While their decision did not stop pirates from doing what they desired, the new law slowly concluded THIS chapter of nightmarish Irish misery.

    But, if anyone, black or white, believes that slavery was only an African experience, then they’ve got it completely wrong.

    Irish slavery is a subject worth remembering, not erasing from our memories. But, where are our public (and PRIVATE) schools???? Where are the history books? Why is it so seldom discussed?

    Do the memories of hundreds of thousands of Irish victims merit more than a mention from an unknown writer? Or is their story to be one that their English pirates intended: To (unlike the African book) have the Irish story utterly and completely disappear as if it never happened.

    None of the Irish victims ever made it back to their homeland to describe their ordeal. These are the lost slaves; the ones that time and biased history books conveniently forgot.

    Slavery is historical and has been practiced by most every culture. Some still practice slavery today. It is estimated that 46 million people live in a form of slavery at this very moment. That number was 36 million in 2017. The US during those times had about 10 million slaves from when the British brought them here to the end of the Civil War. There are more slaves right now than the entire time of slavery here.

    Where is the angst about those in slavery today? Why are the people demanding reparation’s for something they did not endure, not out trying to eradicate slavery that is happening now?

    As for reparations, absolutely. Go find those who owned slaves and get the money for those who were slaves. Bring a shovel. My ancestors on my father’s side came to the US in 1884. The settled in the upper mid-west. My mother’s family came to the US in 1872 and also settled in the upper mid-west. Farmers, loggers and crafts/tradesmen. Not a slave owner in the bunch. Just broke assed Scots, Scots-Irish and Norwegians.

    It’s the true history of the Salve Trade was faced. Tribes in Africa had been raiding each other for captive to sell to the ARAB SLAVE traders for hundreds of years. History cannot be changed and that history will tell them that their ancestors in Africa sold their neighbours into slavery for a few rusty muskets and iron trade good and they were all doing it. All that reallyb hapenned was thatv the Europeans increased the market and paid better pricces but they did not start the slave trade. BUT the BRITISH did eventually finish it!
    There was a similar situation in SOUTH ANMERICA when the collecting of SHRUNKEN HEADS by EUROPEANS became the rage. Whole tribes were wiped out by more powerful tribes to provide the heads for shrinking
