Given the fact that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (and Really Big Fires) is a profoundly corrupt Federal agency with a blatant anti-gun agenda, “strengthening” the ATF is a bad idea. Full stop. Blowing past that punctuation by putting Chicago political playa, avowed anti-gun rights guy and consumate ATF insider Andrew Traver at the helm rivals the Munich Agreement in the “common sense” department. As for creating a 1000-foot gun-free zone around any event attended by federal big wigs . . .

Gun rights advocates have a name for the resulting firearms-free space: a killing field. Did Congressman King not clock the fact that a [civilian] concealed carry permit holder was the first armed person on the scene at the Giffords shooting? Too busy scoring points with his RINO homies I guess. Oh well. Next?

  1. The BATFE’s first target should be Bloombag, who hands out impossible-to-get NYC gun permits to his cronies as party favors. Yeah, that’s gonna happen.

  2. I can’t even begin to comment on Bloomberg, because that would be the end of my new kinder and gentler side. I won’t even watch anything on his channel (i used to be a regular, but with hundreds of channels now I moved on) because of his misinformed bigotry.

  3. The arrogance and hubris of these politicians infuriates me. It seems they’re ready to assign blame to everyone and everything save for the one source of this mayhem: A lone nut-bag gunman in Arizona. Who has been imprisoned and will most likely be executed.

Alleged bad words and bad laws and anger did not cause the shooting in Arizona. A single deranged individual did.
