“’She’s bold,’ the uncle said. ‘She ain’t scared of nothing.’” It’s hard to argue with un-named uncle whose visiting relative was approached by a stranger who asked to use a phone and then for a ride before robbing the man.
The woman’s uncle, on condition of anonymity, told the local Fox affiliate that she and her husband were visiting him at his home in Whitehaven, a neighborhood in Memphis. On Sunday, a man wearing a light-blue jacket held up the husband in broad daylight. As seen on video, the suspect has his hand at his waist on what witnesses said was a gun.
When the woman saw what was happening, she came outside armed with her uncle’s gun.
“I advise you to back the f@ck up,” she said. The uncle said the woman wasn’t trying to hit the robber with the warning shot.
That’s right, she fired a warning shot at the bad guy as he ran away in a residential neighborhood. Not something we’d advise.
“She said she didn’t want to kill him, but when he fired back at us after she fired the warning shot, she said she was trying to hit him then but didn’t,” he told the outlet.
Thankfully, no one was hurt. And the local 5-0 are looking for the hoodie-clad man using the footage captured by the uncle’s security camera. Result.
perfect example of why you don’t do warning shots. those are for wild animals/dogs/etc. that you don’t particularly want to kill.

I had to laugh at the baby blue hoody. No self respecting thug should wear baby blue.
I fired a warning shot into the ground once to ward off a large aggressive dog. I was way out in the country, at least a mile from any building. It worked. The big dog chilled out, and even let me give him some friendly petting.
I was glad I had my .38, and glad I didn’t have to hurt the dog.
Actually the enforcement/hit squad arm of the crips wear baby blue.

Forget about the warning shot …
Her mindset needs some work. If she came out with a weapon drawn (or made a post presentation), after identifying ‘a’ threat –the time for talk was over right-then-and there! A firearm/weapon that is presented –is to be actively used without hesitation, if not, you could very-well become the perpetrator/defendant.
I.E. the initial perp will say …
“she brandished, so I protected myself from the visible threat of her weapon”
… again, forget the warning shot. There was to much talking with a supposed weapon in plain sight and possibly aimed at someone, most definitely ‘pointed’ in a direction –of which the backdrop in a residential neighborhood is anyone’s guess.
Seems like something out of a movie, where a gunman has a victim(s) get on their knees, then walks-up to them within arms reach, gun in hand –pointed at the vic’s head and starts talking to the vic’s –allowing the vic(s) to disarm them.
If in fact this was a stranger not from the neighborhood and not in any obvious/immediate health concern, then ‘no’, I don’t have a phone, as for the ride, how did you get here in the first place?

Gun rights should be kept strong
“Judge sides with former prosecutor in $250K suit” : (Herald and News, Feb.10), elicits a revisit to the issue of deadly/lethal force and concealed carry. I allude to two past Herald and News letters of mine addressing this issue. They include: “Carrying a firearm is a serious matter, so….” (July 21, 2013), and “Common Sense in gun decisions a good thing” (Feb. 11, 2011), respectively.
Both remain archived in the Herald and News.
I again strongly endorse the writings of Massad Ayoob, former police captain, gun scribe, writer and national expert on deadly/lethal force, including concealed carry at http://www.ayoob.com. Also, his latest 2014 book: “Deadly Force: Understanding Your Right To Self Defense.” Massad Ayoob is also founder of Lethal Force Institute/Police Bookshelf in Concord, N.H. In “The Gun Digest Book of Concealed Carry” by this author, Mas writes: “Fight for your rights (Second Amendment) and privileges.
There are those in this society who work in a tireless, well-funded concerted effort to deprive you and your children of the right to self protection. You (the public) have a genuine duty ‘to you and yours’ to fight that. This is a civil rights/human rights issue.
The great authority on common law, Lord Blackstone once stated: ‘self-defense is the highest of human rights’. Therefore, work hard to keep it, because powerful forces don’t want you and your descendants to have it.”
Finally, Brian Jenning’s Wednesday, Feb. 8 article: “Ladies of Lead: Profiling the women who choose to carry a gun” (with online video) depicts over 4,200 women alone in Deschutes County (Bend), Oregon who collectively applied for a concealed carry permit in 2016. That indeed is astronomical!

Ugh, another negro gun crime. Im sure he is a gud boi, though. Probably an aspiring rap artist. That evil, racist, gun toting white lady should have invited him, let him have his way with her, and take whatever he wanted because…. slavery and systematic oppression. If this country would limit black ownership of guns and put violent, black, felonious thugs in prison for decades instead of months it would be alot safer and more pleasant all around.
