Funny, thought, Fred and hunting buddy Bob are out in the field, when Fred spies a big 10 point buck. Raises his rifle to take the shot,

It was mildly interesting at first, but I quickly tired of it.
Case in point – Where I prefer to get my mobile real-time weather info. They were proud as peacocks over their New! Improved! weather app, so I installed it.
Big. Mistake.
Once launched, I have to navigate several screens to get to the local radar view I like. While with my web icon all I have to do is tap it once, and I get the view I want.
Newer ain’t always better.
(Granted, it can have some uses, like calling an Uber…)
While the app mines your contact list, browser history, etc and send it to chicomland (or Kommiefornia (same/same)). But it’s “FREE”
Another thought, in a few years, are we going to see shooters who cannot use iron sights? Use their scopes without an app?
In a few years? My friend, that is already a dying art.
Iron sights are a lost art, how many can estimate distance by the front sight anymore?
I still prefer iron sights, even tho my eyes are not as young as they used to be.
oh joy, just what I need. a high tech overpowered, huge and heavy marvel on top of my trusty hunting rifle. Wake up guys, two thirds of us live east of Big Muddy and mostly hunt dense cover. We have to take quick shots in low light at ranges usually under 150 yards. My Razor sits on 2X most of the time, has a simple easy to interpret reticle and weighs 14 ounces. Forget the tech and give us simple, reliable and compact please.
With all the bells and whistles why doesn’t someone integrate the range finder into the scope? Just asking and I’m not gonna knock this scope it seems like a nice piece of equipment.
