Springtime is sporting clays time. And it’s always time to support a great charitable cause. Why not kill two (clay) birds with one stone?
Comp-U-Dopt was founded in 2007 by Jonathan Osha in Houston Texas, with the belief that every child deserves equal access to education and opportunity. He realized that the life cycle of a computer in a corporate environment is typically less than three years.
Usually sent to a landfill or shelved, these lightly used tech tools can become a dream come true for a young learner ready to broaden their skills and knowledge, as well as an opportunity to demonstrate good environmental stewardship.
Since then Comp-U-Dopt has grown its service offerings to include high quality, hands-on, project-based after school programming that aligns with high demand careers and equips students with the skills needed for jobs today and tomorrow.
Generous support from individuals and corporate partners has allowed Comp-U-Dopt to expand its geographic reach to Corpus Christi, Galveston, Dallas, and Ft. Worth in Texas, as well as Covington, Kentucky, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Washington, DC.
Comp-U-Dopt’s 11th Annual 2021 Clay Shoot Charity Fundraiser will be held on April 30 from 8am-1pm at Blackwood Gun Club in Conroe, Texas, just north of Houston. The shoot will feature a wooded course of 100 clays, BBQ lunch, and raffle prizes.
A TTAG contingent will be there including Dan Zimmerman and contributors LKB and Peter Schechter.

As to the comment on facial hair (yes, that is me in the middle):
Two guys meet on the street.

Reminds me of Motorcycle clubs eliminating some of the stigma of “biker gangs” with toys for tots and what not.
