The 2015 Firearms Festival is a one-of-a-kind event: the world’s biggest and best “come and shoot it” (and buy it) gun show. This year, 39 different gun makers are bringing their latest and greatest firearms to Best of the West Shooting Range in Liberty Hill on November 14 and 15. The Range at Austin Retail Village has over 41 retailers selling their wares (with a waiting list for next year’s even larger village). We’ve got three ammo companies supplying gun food. Person or persons unknown have defaced an Austin-area billboard for the Texas Firearms Festival, scheduled for November 14 and 15. The vandals obscured some of the text on the sign on East 11th St. It now reads “Texas Fear Festival.” The show’s organizers are amused but not amazed at the transformation . . .

Shooters at last year’s Texas Firearms Festival experienced a significant bottleneck at the rifle range. We’ve taken steps to avoid a repeat of that regrettable situation. For one thing, we’ve built steps: there are now two entrances to the SB-Tactical Rifle Range, one on the right of the facility and one on the left. For another, we’ve limited the number of manufacturers shooting on the rifle range and increased the number of shooting positions/tables per rifle maker [full list and distances below].
