From Daniel Defense . . .

To honor the service of our nation’s military and law enforcement professionals, Daniel Defense—manufacturer of the world’s finest firearms and accessories—has released a new Global War on Terror (GWOT) rifle package. This commemorative rifle package is available for purchase only by active-duty and retired military and law enforcement professionals, U.S. veterans, and those who diligently and selflessly served our nation in times of need.

“This is our way of honoring and thanking the brave men and women who serve—and have served—this great country of ours,” said Daniel Defense Founder/Executive Chairman Marty Daniel. “The GWOT rifle package is available exclusively for military and law enforcement customers and won’t be offered to the general public. It’s an upgrade of our best-selling M4A1 RIII at a special price point.”

Upgrades include a Blue Force Gear Vickers Sling, Magpul MBUS Pro flip-up sights, a Mil-Spec Flat Dark Earth (FDE) Cerakote finish on the rifle’s RIII rail instead of anodizing, custom Global War on Terror engraving on the lower, and a matching commemorative challenge coin. The rest of this exclusive rifle chambered in 5.56mm NATO is all M4A1 RIII and includes the features beloved by military and law enforcement customers, including a 14.5” Cold Hammer Forged Barrel; a reliable Mid-length gas system; ambidextrous safety, magazine release, and bolt catch; a GRIP-N-RIP Charging Handle; and a lightweight but durable 12.5” RIS III rail/handguard with popular M-LOK attachment. You get all this for a price less than a standard M4A1 RIII—but only if you’re a military or law enforcement customer.

To see pricing and order the GWOT rifle package, you must first create an account and provide your military or law enforcement credentials or proof of service to [email protected]. The rifle goes on sale June 6, 2023, and the sale runs through Independence Day, July 4.

  1. Six months prior I misplaced my work and after that I was blessed sufficient to falter upon a extraordinary site which truly spared me. I begun working for them online and in a brief time after I’ve begun averaging 15k a month… The finest thing was that cause I am not that computer smart all I required was a few essential writing aptitudes and web get to to begin.

  2. The 14.5″ barrel probably has a permanently attached flash hider that IMO screws up the whole shebang. Instead of accessorizing it with what is a senseless Big Brother Gun Controlled barrel it would have been better and frankly more respectful to go 16″ CHF.

    • True, it looks like an extended flash hider made for pin and weld. They seem to be specifically going for a SOCOM aesthetic. Why do you think a 16″ would be more “respectful”?

      • Eric…A 16″ barrel does not come with any ridiculous, pain in the azz atf strings attached. The people the rifle is intended for deserve better than an insult to their intelligence barrel that is IMO ruined with a fixed flash hider.

    • its “chambered in 5.56mm NATO is all M4A1 RIII…”

the M4 has a 14.5 inch barrel and this is focused on personal ownership sales to those who are military/retired/veterans which means to make it legal needs a 16 inch barrel to keep out of NFA territory which means a pinned-welded muzzle device to bring the 14.5 inch barrel to the civilian legal 16 inches. so maybe that’s it.

I built one with a 14.5 inch barrel and pinned-welded a longer flash hider to make it 16 inch. doesn’t affect the ballistics a bit and shoots what I feed it just fine.

      • “doesn’t affect the ballistics much”

You lose a little energy going from 16″ to 14.5″.

        • Art, that reminds me of a funny story. A friend of mine was teaching a patrol carbine class to a bunch of working Leo’s. Someone questioned Mark about the 14.5″ vs 16″ thing. (Unless the agency owns it is a NFA firearm). Many Leo’s provide their on firearms. I did. Anyway, the question. Mark replied, “An inch and half doesn’t really make any difference.” The lone woman in the class said, “Oh, you’d be suprised.” Thousand one, thousand two…and the room exploded.

    • the only thing thats more worthless than a bullpup
      is a pistol caliber carbine
      if bullpups were any good
      the ngsw would be one
      they had a million years
to figure out what to replace the m4 with
      and a bullpup wasnt it

      • I like my Springfield Hellion. I like my pistol caliber AR platform carbines, even built a few. I don’t think they are worthless – either one will take down a bad guy and they are fun to shoot.

        • If you shoot hollow points in it, you lessen the danger of over penetration. Better for those that live close to others.

Number of well respected trainers have changed their minds on them lately.

  3. here i fixed the headline:
“Daniel Defense Launches New ‘Global War on Checking Accounts And Credit Card Balances’ AR-15 Rifle Package”

    • When I want one one the lowers I make, or one manufactured by a company, laser engraved/etched I take them to a company here locally that does it for me.

  4. So now law enforcement gets to pay $2200 for a mil-spec trigger, plastic sights, and plastic sling?

      • The military market is fickle so they’ll likely pay for it eventually… it’s the same mentality that led to Colt’s last 2 bankruptcies.

  5. Hey, losers, haven’t you gotten the news that the big enemies in the Global War on Terror are White gun owners?

  6. Sorry, but the federal entity on the Potomac river is the premier terrorist organization both internationally and within the borders of the (formerly) united states of America.
