The EOTECH XPS2-300 HWS works with both ammo types thanks to a specially calibrated, two-dot ballistic drop reticle. It allows zeroing for both subsonic and supersonic .300 Blackout rounds using the same reticle for instant access to both zeros where and when needed. The XPS2-300 model features a laser-etched ballistic drop diagram on the housing, which provides a quick reference for subsonic and supersonic ammunition drop data.

At only 3.8-inches long and a mere 9-ounces, shooters will love EOTECH’s shortest and lightest HWS sight.   2. So, I had a .308 BDC holographic from EOTech and it was recalled due to the parallax issues. (Which I discovered were quite real when I moved to Texas from Wyoming and noticed it no longer seemed to be as accurate.) So I turned it back in and got a refund. I really liked it though (My wife called it ‘cheating’ since you put the cross hairs on the target and squeezed trigger and look! You hit) and have been tempted to get another. But my question is, did they really fix those issues? Because Texas is STILL hot and going to stay that way.

    • EOTech has the least parallax error of any rifle optic ever made and your accuracy changed because you have to rezero any optic when you move more than 2,000ft of elevation up or down. Bullets fly further, faster and with less drag at higher elevations and plow dirt with rainbow looking trajectories at sea level.

      When I first moved to sea level from 8,500ft all of my guns were hitting dirt instead of targets from 100 yards and out. Some of my guns needed an ammo change for the BDC reticles I had to work right but most just needed to be rezeroed.

      Best part about the low elevation and BDC reticles is that those reticles were usually developed for cheap military spec ammo and projectiles at sea level. Suddenly all of my ACSS, Trijicon and Horus stuff is dead on with M80 and M855 when they wanted $2 match ammo up in the Sangre De Cristos

  3. Oh I want it. $585??? I’ll pass, especially since I have this auto on thing on my AR 300 AAC that I like real well. Jeesh I had to go look at what I have. Don’t you just hate that? It’s the Holosun HS507C X2 With the green laser of the Olight BALDR Pro and then the red circle of the Holosun, it is effing cool.

    It’s not my aim to pee in EOTechs Corn Flakes, but page filler is good.

  6. Most BDC reticles are bullshit, and .300blk bdc’s are super bullshit if you aren’t using the exact ammo types, barrel length/twist that it’s designed for.

  7. I could be off by a bit, but I’ve seen this exact same optic by EoTech before. Same model too. I always wondered why they never offered it in the EXPS configuration.

  8. This Eotech 300 Blackout model isn’t “new” at all. It’s been out for years.
    I had that exact model myself, but then I sold it because red dots look fuzzy to my eyes (astigmatism with the color red) — I need green dots instead, which look sharp to my eyes.

    Let me know when Eotech makes the 300 Blackout model in green.
    Until then, stop saying it’s “new”, because it’s not!

    • I don’t believe you. Built mine in 2018 and was still more than a 5.56 upper. Now, it’s triple.
