I think it’s for making sure you don’t have to tell them twice to lie down.
Maybe it’s for “roll over and play dead.”
They don’t roll over so well unless you shoot them while they’re on an incline.

Fact: .38 caliber revolvers are both easier to shoot accurately and do more damage downrange, than any .380 pocket pistol.
Fact: The Ruger LCR has the best double action trigger of any snubbie revolver.
So unless facing multiple armed opponents (who will probably kill you anyway), this is a very good carry system for self-protection.
Maybe it depends on the individual gun, but I’ve handled a few LCRs and none had a trigger anywhere near as nice as a K or L-frame Smith & Wesson or even Ruger’s own GP100.
The LCR is certainly a good gun, though.
A very interesting blade on that knife. Not sure how practical it is for any kind of heavy use, but my knives don’t see heavy use anyway. I like it.
