No, seriously, as a civvie, what’s earthly reason could you have for wearing dog tags? If you’re dead they won’t be used to ID you and if you’re alive they won’t care what blood type the tag says. If you need blood they’re gonna blood type you at the hospital to make sure they get it right. It’s not an official ID or medical marker so it will be summarily ignored by… well everyone.

    Bob…4 kids and 2 dogs prevent leave me limited time to indulge….I hear it’s a great show though….plus we don’t have a TV set up for regular viewing, too much liberal crap spewing out (not everything)…it stays in the closet except for movie night.
    Curious though….Does one of the characters keep loose rounds on hand, and what is the story behind it?

The linked article doesn’t say that they are actual US Government Issue dog tags, just that they’re ‘dog tag id’ – maybe just name & emergency contact phone number. My dad, a Korean War vet, carried an actual dog tag on his key chain till the day he died. I wish I still had it. And maybe the two loose rounds are to demonstrate exactly what round he carries in his weapon.
