If you are in so deep that you need to reload any firearm twice you probably aren’t surviving.
At that point, does it really matter…??? Not shots would be on target, some targets may require multiple shots…I’d rather have the extra and not need it, than run out and have to use my gun as a striking weapon…
Additionally, I carry 2 spare magazines for my 1911, not planning on being in an extended “gun fight”, but once again, I’d rather be prepared than sorry…
Using cover, concealment, tactics and some luck you should be able to reload a revolver. Even if you eliminate the threat with 4 shots you should roload while waiting for authorities in case another threat appears.
