Everytown and SPLC: Kids Who Like Guns are ‘Male Supremacist’ Racists…Allegedly

In Joe Biden’s America, the quickest way to marginalize an individual or a group is by labeling them as racist. It can happen to literally anyone, since the accusations don’t have to be supported by facts. Once the label has been attached, the legacy media take over.

The accused will then become the target of relentless coverage, mostly opinion pieces, which reinforces the claim of racism, whether it’s real or imagined. Their friends and supporters will then flee. There’s no appeal, since anyone who is forced to deny they’re racist only repeats the charge appears to be…more racist.

It was only a matter of time before the gun ban industry saw the utility of slanderous racist labelling and incorporated it into their battle plans.

A study released this week attempting to tar pro-gun youths – and by extension all of us – with the racist brush. The authors even added a little dose of “male supremacy” for seasoning.

Titled “U.S. Youth Attitudes on Guns,” the study was conducted by Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, the problematic Southern Poverty Law Center, which is pivoting more toward gun control every day, and the Polarization and Extremism Research and Innovation Lab, known as PERIL.

PERIL began by studying hate and extremist behavior in Germany. Their goal for operating in the United States is to “develop an empirically-tested, nationally-scalable intervention to prevent youth from radicalizing to white supremacist extremism.” According to their website, PERIL is funded by Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, the SPLC, the assiduously anti-gun Joyce Foundation, the City of Seattle, other anti-gun nonprofits and…wait for it…the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Their research was divided into three phases:

Phase 1 examined the pro-gun media. “Based on the field expertise of our team, we identified and assessed 68 online, pro-gun media sources. Of these, 15 channels were selected, based on the wide range, high-volume and high-engagement levels they demonstrated,” the report states. “These included social media and user generated content platforms Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, Facebook, 4chan and blogs.”

Phase 2 surveyed more than 4,000 youths aged 14 to 30. The authors, however don’t explain why 19- to 30-year-olds were considered youths for the purposes of their “research.”

Phase 3 is reportedly ongoing and consists of interviews and focus groups involving the 4,000 “youths” recruited for the study.

Findings

While the findings of Phase 3 are preliminary because of the ongoing nature of the “research,” the findings for Phases 1 and 2 are everything you’d expect three anti-gun groups to produce. A majority of the youths said “gun violence” was a problem. Forty-two percent claimed they had easy access to guns, and a quarter reported they had “experienced an active shooter lockdown.”

“Furthermore,” the authors noted, “a young person’s access to guns, identification with gun culture and exposure to media relating to guns correlated with concerning beliefs like support for male supremacy, belief that the Second Amendment gives individuals the right to overthrow the government, higher levels of racial resentment and post-traumatic stress disorders.”

The authors noted in an appendix that they referenced more than 50 books, studies, reports, and news stories from television and print media, including CNN and The New York Times. Four of these reports were actually written by Everytown for Gun Safety.

Once the ink was dry on this “study,” the authors turned to another Bloomberg-owned anti-gun agitprop group, The Trace, to help get the word out.

“A new nationally representative survey examining young people’s attitudes toward guns and gun violence found that respondents who identify with gun culture often hold male supremacist and racist beliefs. The report found that young people who are most closely associated with guns are more likely to be white people people (sic) with symptoms of mental distress,” The Trace breathlessly announced in an email Monday morning.

Takeaways

This report bears all the hallmarks of a traditional Bloomberg PSYOP. There’s no doubt Everytown agreed to fund it only after the authors agreed on what their ultimate findings would be. But unlike their previous propaganda, this one targets our kids. That, friends, is inexcusable.

Our youth are neither racist nor male supremacists — whatever that means — nor are they mentally ill or suffering from PTSD or “higher levels of racial resentment.”

Bloomberg and his ilk have gone too far here and deserve to be called out for their lies, but that’s just the gun writer in me talking. Tiny Mike and his minions would warn you I’ve been exposed to the gun media for far too long.

You post a video that shows the history of gun control up to 1860 as if that is proof of racism and that racism kept some from being able to exercise certain rights.

Don’t you think the fact that blacks were kept as property, worked to death as slaves, with ZERO rights is proof enough? What the fuck makes you think they or any Black, free or not, would be given any rights under the constitution. How fucking dense are you?

It’s funny how you history lesson ends at the Civil War. Pull your head out and look around, things have changed in the last 160+ years.

I took your stupid challenge and asked 10+ people what is “Gun Control”, I gave you the results and they prove you are wrong. Not every thing or every battle is about race.

You are too stupid to be of any help in todays fight too keep and expand gun rights.

  1. “In Joe Biden’s America, the quickest way to marginalize an individual or a group is by labeling them as racist.”

That’s starting to change, thankfully. It’s becoming easier and easier to ignore… 🙂

    • People tend to run and hide under the nearest table when they’re called a racist because it’s just about the worst thing you can be accused of. That’s why they do it. People need to understand that when they accuse you of being a racist, it actually means you’ve already won the argument. They fall back on that (and Nazi, white supremacist, etc.) because all they have to offer is lies. The next time they call you a racist, it’s time to celebrate because you’ve already won.

      • In social media such as Twitter, I’ve tried to turn the tables on anti-gun folks. When they talk about “assault weapons,” I accuse them of being racist for calling black guns “assault weapons” just because they’re black, for no other reason than their appearance. I point out that if they think being black is so scary and threatening that they apply the label “assault” to things just for being black, then that’s proof of their racism.

They never reply, so I don’t know how they feel about it. Perhaps it confuses them, or more likely they think I’m crazy because in their total ignorance of guns, they really think there’s a difference between “ordinary rifles” and so-called “assault weapons” other than their appearance!

      • It’s rapidly becoming the modern-day equivalent of “The Boy Who Cried Wolf”…

      • I have been called a racist by the most racist people on earth: Black Lives Matter. I do not give a shit about their opinions.

      • the left is big on labels…when you just laugh them off and say “so what”…they appear a bit flummoxed….

    • The sanctity of victimhood fades. and voila!, peeps notice that “crocktical race theory” is hard core racist.

    • They’ve gone back to that well so many times they have run it dry. The terms racist and supremacist have become nearly meaningless today.

    • Use a word like that too much and the meaning is diluted with the shock value diminished.

R@cist? Human race most definitely. I’m not Pr0gressive enough to consider other species.

      • That’s why they began saying white supremacist instead of racist. Now they’re saying white nationalist and Christian nationalist.

  2. Wait they used 4chan as a serious source for anything beyond technical data? LOL wow that must have been a fun group meeting/counseling session. God help them if they ever see a representative cross section of that user base (more multicultural than the NYS civil service system)

    • They had a conclusion. They then had to find anything to support the conclusion.

Uncle Mike pays anyway. He doesn’t care how the piece is produced or the actual content.

  3. Jason Aldean is purportedly suing Whoopie Goldberg and the View for libeling him with the charge of being a racist. At this point, there has to be more lawsuits to hold accountable those who spew the racist garbage toward everything and everyone they don’t like. I know that this is a pipe dream, but this garbage has to stop.

  4. The typical “youth” being polled by them also happens to be the same guy that shows up here under different names pretending to be a Christian or a white anti-black racist. How many posts did it make on those social media sites so the “research” would work out?

  5. and a quarter reported they had “experienced an active shooter lockdown.”

???… !000 out of 4000 RANDOMLY selected individuals had experienced an active shooter lockdown… I’m 73 years old, I have NEVER experienced an active shooter lockdown, I don’t KNOW anyone who has experienced an active shooter lockdown, AND I don’t know anyone who KNOWS anyone who has experienced an active shooter lockdown (yes, I do know a lot of people) … I call bullshit on this whole gun-grabbers fantasy… A majority of those “youths?” agree that gun violence is a problem, but they are also “racists” and “male supremacists?) … And how the fuck did they make the LEAP to the 2nd Amendment meaning overthrowing the government? Some major garbage in this “study” up to and including 30-year-old “youths”…

    • Active shooter lockdowns are largely nonsense except that several school districts do them just to panic/condition the children much like what duck and cover ended up doing. Gota love fear/trauma based programming.

      • Both of their stats are BS. There are quite a few lockdowns at schools these days. I got several notices for them. It may even be because of a perceived active shooter threat. But it isn’t because of an actual active shooter. They lockdown when they get a threatening call now. They lockdown when they hear a student has a weapon, like a pocket knife. They lockdown when there’s a bear near campus or an escaped criminal nearby. If their poll answers are really somewhat legitimate, then it’s because the people answering misunderstood the context of the question.

    • I graduated from high school back in the ’80s…a time well before Columbine and when the term “active shooter event” was never even a remote thought on anyone’s mind.

Unfortunately, my alma mater was the scene of an ASE a few years ago, and in which people died. The high school campus was completely open when I attended; it’s now enclosed with high steel fencing and equipped with metal detectors at the entrance. Sad sign of the times.

      • “The high school campus was completely open when I attended; it’s now enclosed with high steel fencing and equipped with metal detectors at the entrance. Sad sign of the times.”

Sane people protect the things they value. Insane people believe ‘magical thinking’ will protect them.

There are ways to engineer security when building schools, to make it less obvious looking…

    • Local schools lock down any time there’s an incident involving an armed person anywhere nearby. Armed robbery at the mini-mart 1/2 mile away? School goes into lockdown until the perp is custody. As with repeated drills, combines with overinflated numbers reporting “mass shootings” and “school shootings” to traumatize students believing that there’s an ever constant threat that society needs to “Do something!” about.

    • False alarms are actually becoming very commonplace lately in large urban centers. This is part of their disarmament strategy. Now they panic at the first hint that someone may be carrying concealed where some Karen get triggered and stomps on the Panic Button(tm)

It happens a lot these days and I would not be surprised if one in four liberal online anti-gun activist blue-city dwellers has experienced one of these many false alarms and had to sit through an actual dry lockdown. Only a tiny fraction of these really had an actual bad actor involved who was in fact armed and intent on harm. Much of the time they don’t even ID or find who the Karen thought was the threat in the first place. . That’s how hysterical these people are getting in the Blue cities.

    • If there is a leap greater than a quantum leap, this bullshit and others like it have done it.

    • MAXX,

Well, have to part company with ya, here, chemp. My youngest daughter’s high school had a lockdown based on an online threat that some kids from Compton/Inglewood had threatened to some shoot up their school (because some complete idiot at her school had posted a racist meme online). The cops did find two gangbangers in the area (they were distinctly unwilling to give any information about whether they were armed, or not). But they locked her school down for half a day (and I’m glad they did – fortunately, I taught her well, and she was smart enough to GTFO of Dodge, rather than sit huddled like a rabbit waiting to get shot. But, . . . it DOES happen. And I don’t blame schools for locking down (I wish they’d adopt a more proactive policy/response, but . . . I was in KKKalifornia, at the time). Still if “lockdown” is all ya got, I guess it’s better than nothing (maybe. I hope).

It DOES happen – my question is, “What’s the SMART way to deal with that nonsense??” Unfortunately, in KKKalifornia, a smart response is the least likely to be implemented.

      • Do they actually LOCK something?

Open the arms locker and issue weapons/ammunition to the staff. Begin active local patrolling? Marksman on the roof/at loopholes.

        NO? Just a TV meme.

      • Lamp: Never said it doesn’t happen, I know it happens, I watch the news… My point is that the odds of finding 25% of a supposedly random group of 4000 people that have actually EXPERIENCED an active shooter lockdown is either an extraordinary stroke of luck (for their agenda) or it’s pure bullshit…

  6. Back I believe the early 1990s. The federal government produced a report that admitted that
Guns, introduced by a responsible adults to children. Mostly father’s was a net positive.

And in fact, reduced the chances of the kids becoming involved in gang activity, and using guns illegally and irresponsibly.

  7. It’s funny how they’re complaining about “male supremacist beliefs.” Okay, fine. Let’s talk about male supremacy. How do they feel about cross-dressing men dominating women in sports? How about men taking things like scholarships, beauty pageant wins, and acting or commercial/sponsorship roles from women? How about grown men sharing bathrooms, locker rooms, and even spas with women and young girls? How about men now having the “right” to expose their junk to women in those places? Who’s for male supremacy again?

  8. “Bloomberg and his ilk have gone too far here and deserve to be called out for their lies, but that’s just the gun writer in me talking.”

Not just the gun writer — any of us should be outraged at the leftists’ use of children as agitprop.

Just as Orwell “predicted” in 1984 — they go for the children first, because they’re more easily influenced. Then you’ll have the parents being turned in to the State by their offspring who’ve marinated in the soshallist stew for long enough.

  9. “…….The authors, however don’t explain why 19- to 30-year-olds were considered youths for the purposes of their “research.”……..”
    🤔

Well, anything is fair game when the “progressive leftards” have an agenda to advance.

Another example of this is how “The View” defines Hunter B. The crackhead 🤡 is almost 60 years old, yet those hags make comments like “he’s just a kid trying to get his life together”.
Am I the only one offended that crackhead 🤡 Hunter tested positive for cocaine use while in the Air Force, yet managed to get an HONORABLE discharge?

    • The View” defines Hunter B. The crackhead 🤡 is almost 60 years old, yet those hags make comments like “he’s just a kid trying to get his life together”.

Compared to most of those hags he IS just a kid… And it was an “Administrative” discharge from the US Navy Reserve, not the Air Force…

      • The PC mil quit using Bad Conduct discharge for drugs many years ago. Bobby Biden defines bad conduct. Pretty obvious what he hunts.

  10. The racist white atheists who run the Southern Poverty Law Center. Want black children prevented from learning about their second amendment civil rights.
They have always supported disarming black people.

Everyone else’s children caught up in this racist scheme are just, “collateral damage” in their efforts to disarm the civilian population.

When you read the history of the Deacons For Self Defense and Justice, as well as the Black Panther Party for Self Defense and Justice, there was an underlying theme in both of them.

That the “white saviors” who came down from the North “to save black people” were appalled that the blacks had guns. And wanted the blacks to disarm. And disavow owning firearms for the rest of their lives.

  11. The irony on this one is especially thick, considering the “racist roots of gun control,” a term well worth the time to Google and become familiar with all on its own.

That makes this claim not “just wrong,” but “the OPPOSITE of right!”

As is often said, Leftists have no sense of irony whatsoever.

  12. The 2nd Amendment does exist to overthrow the government, if need be, IMO. Darn it, does that make me a mentally distressed honky supremacist?

    • What wording in the 2nd amendment leads you to that determination? The Declaration of Independence discusses the need for Revolution and overthrowing a repressive Government, but the Constitution only allows for “the peaceful redress of grievances'” not the forceful and violent overthrow of the government…

      §2385. Advocating overthrow of Government
Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or

Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so; or

Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof-

Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.

If two or more persons conspire to commit any offense named in this section, each shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction

      • “…A well regulated (well drilled) Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State…” pretty much validates that prime reason “the Right of the People To Keep and Bear Arms Shall Not Be Infringed,” is for Personal Protection and Protection against Tyranny by the Government.
Madison, Mason and many others personal papers, diaries and essays also states that Protection against Tyranny by the Government, as a need for the 2nd’s enumeration.
After all, Gun Confiscation by the Crown was a far greater motivator in the Revolution than a 2 cent per hundred weight Tax on Tea.

We the People should have Rebelled in 1934 when the Unconstitutional NFA was signed into Law by FDR. Same thing in 1968 when LBJ signed the GCA.
With what the current Fucker in Chief is pulling, we’d best be ready to defend ourselves.

        • Self-defense (protection) is way on the other side of “overthrowing” the government… No matter what, be prepared for death or a long life in prison when you exercise either “right” against a government agent or agency because once it starts they won’t quit til one or the other is accomplished… Personally I plan to take out as many I can and go out in a “Blaze of Glory” but I’ve already considerably exceeded my expected expiration date… Unless you’re playing Guerrilla in the mountains and the forests there’s not much chance of ultimately prevailing…

        • in 1934 gangsters were the “terrorists”…so there wasn’t much opposition against the NFA…except for the handgun provision…

  13. “Our study found that there is a broad consensus among young people that the level of gun violence our country is experiencing is a problem: 4 out of 5 agreed. There is also broad agreement that more gun laws could help reduce gun violence: 59% of participants agreed that gun safety laws should be stricter.” (p.7)

BUT, for the selected focus groups:
“All participants agreed that gun violence is a problem in the U.S. and expressed the need for better gun regulation.” (p.19)

    • The young folks don’t understand the fact that there is no such thing as gun violence. They are just spewing the lie fed to them.A gun is not violent,it is the person behind the gun who is.

      • Even there, they clearly had to cherry-pick their focus groups from the 59% who agree with their desired conclusions.

  14. p.17: Gun narratives tested:
•“Guns allow the weak to stand up to the strong.”
•“People should buy guns now because society might collapse in our lifetime.”
•“It isn’t fair that the actions of a few troubled individuals should have a negative effect on the gun rights of good Americans who have done everything right.”
•“Guns are the best way to defend yourself, loved ones and your community.”
    •“Guns bring families together.”

    P.26:
Finally, there is the possibility of using the analysis of the gun narratives to develop context-specific inoculation messaging. By complicating and further analyzing relationships between gun narratives and other factors, scales and items it may be possible to develop dynamic counter-messages that respond to the life phase that the person/people are in, the particular demographic intersection they inhabit or the specific psychological profile that triangulates gun attitudes, mental health symptoms and political orientation. Inoculation to gun-related propaganda is an important component of building resilience to narratives that intentionally manipulate young people, marginalized people and those who feel unsafe and vulnerable to harm. It is critical that counter-messaging takes into account regional differences, cultural differences and the particular concerns that animate a person’s fear of invasion, crime or tyranny.

  15. They are correct about racists, male supremacy and all the other buzzwords. The problem is they misidentified (lied) about who are the actual perpetrators. They can look in a mirror to know the truth

  16. If I was able to get in behind an MP5K PDW as a kid I wouldn’t have cared what you called me!

  18. Being called a racist has no meaning any longer. It has been used to the point of having no meaning any longer. When EVERYTHING is racist, nothing is.

  19. So their first statement in the study is a lie! The opening sentence is “Since 2020, guns have been the leading cause of death in the United States for children and teens.” Is everything else including the conclusion also a lie?

    • …”stop and frisk” could drastically reduce that…we all know who’s doing all that shooting…and passing more laws for them to ignore won’t change a thing…..

  20. Only gullible, unable to reason or use common sense, people can believe that eveything the whiny liberals call racism is really racism, and it’s all because someone else hates you because of your skin color. The dem party has and is destroying America and brains.
