Last month I reviewed the KCarry Shoulder System. And found it wanting. I had a few issues with how the KCarry holster was set up, and specifically how it compared to a more traditional shoulder holster.
But the real problem was safety. With common guns I could still pull the trigger even with the gun fully in the holster. That’s because there was just elastic fabric over the trigger housing.
When KCarry saw the review, they took the issue seriously and came up with a simple, effective fix.
They added simple rectangular piece of plastic that stays in place over the trigger guard inside the holster via a Velcro attachment. It’s super easy, and it works. With the rectangular piece in place, I can’t access the trigger. Problem solved.
I tried several different hand guns in the holster. I tried Glocks, small and large revolvers, and a couple different 1911s. They all still fit, and I wasn’t able to manipulate the trigger on any of them.
We should all appreciate when a company pays attention to potential safety issues, and I applaud KCarry for developing a solution so fast.
Please explain how to conceal this rig with the belly strap while still being able to access the firearm.
I think it is meant to go under the shirt like theKangaroo carry.
So, I am supposed to sneak an arm under my shirt, disconnect the strap and lift the gun up while still under the shirt? Or, I have to lift my shirt all the way to my armpit?
Either way, its a definite NO
or one could just reach through the opening between buttons (yes I know your mighty forearm will probably pop the button off but hey it’s life or death man fuck that button!), grab gun, pull. I don’t think that plastic piece actually holds anything in it just blocks access to the trigger so no need to undo that and I don’t see a retention strap there.
Really think thats realistically going to happen during a flight ???
Yes right before you execute a perfect pop up powerbomb on your foe delivering them to a waiting Randy Orton who comes outta nowhere and RKOs them then The Undertaker pops outta the pavement and tombstones them to hell.
Maybe throw a sport coat on over it. Or just train with it. I honestly don’t see the value in the rig for edc but for open carry in the woods or for in the truck it has some value. Again YMMV and I don’t wear shoulder holsters I go for waistband or thigh holsters.

Ya, let’s see you access an appendix carry or 4:30 to 8 o’clock carry while seated in your car.
Let’s see you run 100 yds. Let’s see you ford a moving stream that’s 10+ feet deep, or swim 20 yards of open water.
Let’s see you sleep with another holster or [prove to someone else that you can] wear another holster wrestling buck nekid in a hot tub.
You might not need all of that, but then again, it’s not a game of needs.

Can you rotate the position of the carry at all?
FBIFMTSB (far be it from me to say, but) If you wear it up that high, you might want to go horizontal carry. If your off hand comes across your chest, your bicep pins the holster in a more stable draw position while also (somewhat) ‘shielding’ your draw.
Velcro (with the D-ring) is good as a ‘back-up’ but there should be some snaps involved in the release. I like 2 snaps, mil-spec ones buried in tab of the ‘fuzzy’ side of Velcro to silence them.
Stitching good?
No sir, the cant is not adjustable. The stitching is good enough. As far as long term use, I think the elastic would wear out fairly quickly on a large frame pistol.
