Last week we announced our first ever reader gun review contest. And the grand prize for the best reader-generated reviews is an Underground Tactical Bacon Maker Six 5 Ultralight in 6.5 Grendel (above). And we know that with the holiday last week, you were busy harvesting pumpkins, churning apple butter and butchering turkeys. But now that’s all over. So don’t miss your chance to immortalize your work in TTAG’s highly respected library of gun reviews and take home one of the sweetest rifles you’ll ever shoot. Send your entry to [email protected] by Friday, December 19. Let’s see what you got.

  1. Aaaahhh! December 19th?! I thought it was later than that.

Great, now I’m worried that I won’t get to the range in time…and by “range” I mean somewhere in the desert where it’s safe to shoot. And the fact it’s snowing heavily outside and I just came off a 1 week break isn’t helping my problem.

  2. So… enter as often as we like?

What if Accur81 made 15 mediocre reviews and Tom in Oregon made 1 exceptional review. Who would win?

    Who judges the review?

  3. To do a review, I’d have to go buy a new gun…which would be nice if Christmas wasn’t just around the corner. The only new gun I have is a homebuilt, so it doesn’t count.

      • Let me rephrase: new to me. The last commercially manufactured gun I purchased (a year ago) has been reviewed here, and the last gun I bought was an AR I made with a no longer sold 80% lower and parts from all over the place.

  4. I think this contest is being hosted to give the writers/editor/owner some Christmas/Hanukkah downtime/family time. 😉

  5. If I knew what the 40 cal I shot was, It would be interesting. AS it is the only thing I have shot recently.
The Ammo prices on 00 and slugs for my 12 gauge aren’t coming down any, not in my area and I refuse to spend 1.00 a shot to practice on a 12 gauge pump. Any body want to trade a Winchester 12 gauge pump, for a Mossburg with two barrels, one’s a smooth bore and the other one is grooved..

    • Um, for practice with a 12 ga. I use whatever light target loads are on sale at walmart. Save the buckshot for when it counts.
