What I’m saying is back then they had bullets and powder to shoot that big stuff.
Today there telling me that cant keep up with the demand of small arms. It’s not that they cant, its because they dont want to.
The powder to launch that would probably fuel 10,000 223’s just guessing, I know black powder yadda yadda, it still was a bunch.
Actually, WAY more than 10,000 rounds. For example: (16″ rifle charge on battleship) = 660 lbs. X 7000 grains/lbs = 4,620,000 grains ÷ (guesstimate load for .223) 25 grains = 184,000 rounds.
Good thing it’s not a hollowpoint – those are dangerous.

They’ll probably still call it that, but one can always hope.
