  1. “Hey there’s always room in my heart for more.”

Tell that to the rickety-old second story apartment building that audibly groans when you add an additional thou to the ammo closet…

    • I recently had to move my main ammo stash from its former location (where it had been stored for a decade) to a new one, and was reminded of how much ammo weighs. I had stacked over the years, one case at a time, but upon transporting it all en masse it literally took three trips with a truck. The metal floor of the commercial storage locker started to creak a bit as I stacked the last cases inside.

I have a separate, smaller stash located a few miles from the first. Just in case.

  2. Ammo is like cheese or wine, it’s okay to have a cellar of it to keep and build up until it’s time to pull it out and enjoy.

    • Cellars have a bad habit of being on the damp side.

Seal it up and fill the cellar…

  3. 50,000?

That’s only give thousand rounds for ten different calibers. Even less if you consider hollow point.

  4. Collecting ammo is like owning guns…..you can’t ever have too much. My spouse used to argue with me that at most, I needed two pistols, one for each hand. My response, “Well, I need an extra one for each hand to use while you’re reloading the ones I just fired out….And then there’s one for each room in the house. After all, what good does it do you to have a pistol in the bedroom, if you’re on the other end of the house when the perp breaks in….and then there’s a couple for the shop and the garage…..at least one to carry while cutting grass…. Then, when my youngest son comes up and says, “Dad, can I borrow a pistol? There’s some pests hanging around the house and I can’t seem to catch them in the live catch trap. Then, of course, my spouse needs to have a weapon as well.(I’d give her a shotgun….her aim with a pistol is terrible, like she’s lucky to get a hit in the same county as we live in. Last time I took her shooting, I had two targets, one higher than the other (about 2 feet higher). Told her to shoot for the bullseye on the lower target….she hit the upper target…..from 15 feet away.

  5. A hot, fleeting flash of excitement and pleasure, followed by feeling dirty and needing a cleanup.

Shooting and Sex: Not So Different

    • Yup. Just, yesterday ordered 300 rounds of 5.56 Buffalo Cartridge. The price was right and it’s been a month since my last ammo purchase.

      Feels so good!

      • “The price was right ”

        Got a link, please?

Oh, and an update on the Biden administration’s new Homeland Security “Ministry of Disinformation” and the person running it.

Some seriously scary stuff about her, TTAG might want to do an entire article on her :

        • Y’all need to forgive Tucker Carlson, he’s still upset that he can’t jack his candy bar to the sexy green M&M any longer because it’s not wearing high heel boots.

Weird sexual urges. Like linking firearms and sex. But that’s conservatives for ya.

        • Weird as in outside of the norm? I suppose another word for that would be abnormal. Do you believe people should be shunned and ridiculed for weird or abnormal sexual urges? Are you saying that people are able to control their sexual urges? If they have something outside of the norm, then should they try to suppress that feeling? I’m just trying to get a handle on what you actually believe in and stand for.

        • Folks here should listen to you, Geoff. This Mayorkas fellow is a very dangerous un-elected official in an administration being run by un-elected officials.
The Peoples’ Republic of America is upon us if we cannot very quickly motivate our congresspeople to stop picking their noses, cashing their checks, and ignoring what’s happening all around them.

        • Dude, I’m pointing out the issues with the conservatives’ hypocrisy, in this case regarding sex.

The Republicans and the right wing extremists claim the Democratic politicians are all pedophiles, who molest little children, kill them, and inject the adrenaline from the bodies in order to extend their own lives. This all occurs in the nonexistent basement of a pizza parlor in Washington DC, or on secret yachts with submarines in the Caribbean. (Strange, it’s mostly the Russians with the super yachts… oh no, Vladimir Putin is a pedophile, who knew?)

When in fact, it’s conservative Republicans who are the strangest bunch, just look at representative Cawthorn‘s admission about conservative, drug fueled, sex orgies in Washington.

And now there’s video of him and his staff groping one another, all from the party that claims family values and faith in the Christian God.

          https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DfyDMMKDyWI

Even the Republican president‘s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, is now turning out to have committed voter fraud by using a false residence during his candidacy for Congress. And, turns out he’s registered to vote in three different states simultaneously.

Even the wildest, craziest, antifa LGBT activist could not dreamed this stuff up, the Conservatives surpass any deviation they have ever claimed of the Democrats.

It’s true, with the Conservatives, accusation equals confession.

        • “And now there’s video of him and his staff groping one another…”

That’s a weird video. Cawthorn is talking like he’s kidding around and not being serious, they laugh, the other guy pokes him and the video ends. I didn’t see Cawthorn groping the other guy. Let’s see the entire video. When was it made? Has either guy commented on it? Why was the video made, and why did Cawthorn’s friend share it?

Here’s my take. The GOP has decided to take out Cawthorn. The Dems are just enjoying the show.

Meadows was registered to vote in three states at the same time? How could that happen? I thought voter fraud was a myth? Are you saying that we need a system in place to make sure people can’t register in multiple jurisdictions? Do we need a system in place that verifies the voter actually lives at the residence listed? As it turns out, there are thousands of voters that aren’t registered at actual homes. They’re registered at vacant lots, sometimes multiple “voters” at the same vacant lot. That’s a problem, no? Do we need a system in place that purges inactive voter rolls every few years, so people aren’t accidentally registered to vote in multiple jurisdictions or they stay registered to vote after they die? Someone could take advantage of that situation couldn’t they? I see that it doesn’t say Meadows voted in more than one jurisdiction at the same time, and the overlap was for a very short period, as in weeks.

Thank you Miner for bringing attention to potential voter fraud. I hope we can do something about this. I sincerely believe it’s THE issue. Without free and fair elections, we don’t have a government by the people.

        • “How could that happen? I thought voter fraud was a myth?“

Individual voter fraud is certainly possible, when you’re dealing with criminal conservatives who will do anything to cheat. Fortunately, the system works and President Trump‘s former chief of staff Mark Meadows has been caught perpetrating a fraud on the election system of North Carolina. Let’s see if he’s held accountable and sent to prison like the black woman in Texas.

While there certainly have been individual cases of voter fraud, mostly conservatives, and the massive election fraud lie perpetrated by Trump, Giuliani, Eastman, etc. is playing out in the courts, the 2020 election saw no significant fraud whatsoever.

Your own Trump appointed attorney general of the United States of America, William Barr, stated unequivocally there was no fraud that occurred that would result in a change of the election.

And your Arizona cyber ninja bullshit is laughable, I guess that kind of juvenile kabuki theater fools the rubes in the trailer park so there’s that.

Regarding republican representative Madison Cawthorn, you ignore his sexual comments made in the moments leading up to his aide groping his crotch. And you may want to take a look at the photos of Madison Cawthorn wearing a bra and a lace camisole, maybe you can explain to me exactly how these events fit into the family values platform of the Republican Party.

With the conservative Republicans, accusation is confession.

        • I’m sorry, I misspoke. The black lady was sentenced to six years in Tennessee for a voting error.

          “By FOX13Memphis.com News Staff
          January 31, 2022 at 9:35 pm CST
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Local Black Lives Matter activist Pamela Moses was sentenced to six years and one day in prison following her November 2021 conviction, Shelby County Dist. Atty. Gen. Amy Weirich announced Monday.

Moses founded Black Lives Matter Memphis and was a candidate for Mayor of Memphis, but lost the general election on October 3, 2019.

She was convicted in November of illegally registering to vote in 2019.

According to the D.A.’s office, Moses, 44, has 16 prior criminal convictions and committed the voting offense while on probation.“

Given Mark Meadows’ intentional voter fraud by claiming a residence he never lived in, he should be sentenced to prison as well wouldn’t you say?

While the Lady in question has a criminal record, Mark Meadows violation was much more egregious as this was an election in which he was a candidate and he actually ascended to an office in Congress through his election fraud. Shouldn’t he be held to an even higher standard, let’s say 10 years in prison?

        • “Individual voter fraud is certainly possible…”

Interesting concept. How many individuals are currently in this country? Maybe we should make some changes in order to both make cheating difficult to begin with, and to catch people if they do it. Nah, it’ll probably be fine. Is that a mole or a cancerous growth? Probably not cancerous, so just let it be…

“…you ignore his sexual comments made in the moments leading up to his aide groping his crotch.”

Nope. I specifically addressed that. I literally said, “Cawthorn is talking like he’s kidding around and not being serious, they laugh, the other guy pokes him and the video ends.” Did that look like serious talk to you? Then I raised questions because the video was a few seconds in length with zero context.

“…take a look at the photos of Madison Cawthorn wearing a bra and a lace camisole…”

I saw that story mentioned as I was looking at the video you directed me to. It looks like that was a cruise ship adult show with a large audience involving audience participation. I’m guessing that’s a glass of alcohol in his hand, and he’s surrounded by laughing women that think it’s hilarious. Did that happen before or after he was elected? You’re making it seem like he’s a closet trans person.

My previous analysis stands. The establishment wants him gone, and you guys are along for the ride.

        • “Maybe we should make some changes in order to both make cheating difficult to begin with, and to catch people if they do it“

Newsflash, we already have laws on the books that are designed to deter individual voter fraud and they work very well, they snared Trump‘s chief of staff Mark Meadows, right?
And they also got the Republican politicians who set up a election fraud machine there in North Carolina as well, and in addition caught the fellow in Las Vegas who claimed Democrats stole his dead wife’s vote and now he’s in prison for stealing her vote and casting the ballot for Trump.

Again, how many years in prison should mark Meadows serve for his intentional voter fraud to unlawfully win a seat in Congress? The black woman in Texas got six years, what’s an appropriate sentence for Mark Meadows?

“You’re making it seem like he’s a closet trans person“

Hey, I’m not the one wearing the bra…

The base problem is, none of the Republican crazies have shown any credible evidence that the election was stolen, even though they’ve had multiple court cases in multiple jurisdictions, right on up to the Supreme Court.

And now those attorneys including Rudy Giuliani and Sydney Powell or facing disbarment for making false and fraudulent statements in court.

And still, you will never admit Joe Biden won the election fair and square, sad.

And here’s you an example of where so-called common sense voter ID requirements are actually veiled voter suppression.

In Texas a CCW license is sufficient to vote because most CCW carriers are Republican. But a state issued photo student ID is not sufficient, because most students vote Democratic.

De facto voter suppression, nothing less than partisan hacks.

“Texans casting a ballot on Monday, when early voting begins, will need to show one of seven forms of photo ID. A concealed handgun license is okay, but a student ID isn’t. The Supreme Court on Saturday allowed Texas to go forward with this controversial voter ID law. A federal judge had previously struck down the law, arguing that it could disenfranchise 600,000 voters or a full 4.5 percent of registered voters, many of them black and Latino.

Critics say voter ID laws, especially the one in Texas, amount to voter suppression, because it can be both difficult and costly to get the required identification. In a powerfully worded dissent, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, joined by Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagen, wrote, “The greatest threat to public confidence in elections in this case is the prospect of enforcing a purposefully discriminatory law, one that likely imposes an unconstitutional poll tax and risks denying the right to vote to hundreds of thousands of eligible voters.”

        • “Newsflash, we already have laws on the books that are designed to deter individual voter fraud and they work very well, they snared Trump‘s chief of staff Mark Meadows, right?”

Then how was he able to register in multiple jurisdictions at once? How was he able to vote while registered in multiple jurisdictions? Was he caught by the system in place, or was he caught by the opposing political party because he’s a high profile political figure?

Regarding the Texas ID laws, I’m not familiar with that story. I’m offering my opinion without reading up on it. It seems pretty simple, really. I assume the CCW license has the same requirements to obtain throughout the state. The college IDs could vary from college to college. There are plenty of non-citizens who have a college ID. That could open the door for non-citizens to vote if they don’t verify citizenship and note it on the ID.

“Critics say voter ID laws, especially the one in Texas, amount to voter suppression, because it can be both difficult and costly to get the required identification.”

Do you think people who can afford college can’t afford a Texas ID? How much does an ID cost? I found the list of required documentation in a matter of seconds. Here’s the link
          https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/RealID

I looked, but I don’t see where it says it costs anything at all. How do you think people open a checking account? Apply for welfare? Rent or buy a home? Rent or buy a car? Register a car? Legally drive a car? Buy alcohol or cigarettes? Get the vax? It’s almost like this idea that people are too dumb or too poor to obtain an ID is 100% BS. If it was an actual problem that the left wanted to solve, then WHY HAVEN’T THEY SOLVED IT BY HELPING PEOPLE GET STATE IDs? They’ve been talking about this problem for at least a decade that I’ve noticed. What have they done about it? It’s almost like it’s an excuse not to require identification. This is coming from the same party that wants to over-regulate everything else on the planet. Things that make you go hmm…

        • Thanks, now I’ve got that song stuck in my head. But, since it’s one of the coolest songs ever, I’m smiling 8)…
