Maryland is home to some of the most beleaguered gun owners in the country. The Crab Cake State takes a view of the Second Amendment that’s similar to other bastions of civil rights like California and New York. Namely, ‘You can exercise your rights when and where we decide you can…and you’ll like it.’

A group of gun rights supporters recently let it be known that they’re not letting their Second Amendment rights go quietly. Vowing not to comply with the latest slate of RKBA restrictions under consideration, members of a group called Patriot Picket attended hearings at the capitol, causing legislators and gun-grabbers to hyperventilate with disapproval.

Now the group has announced their plans for non-compliance in an even more visible way. Here’s their press release . . .

Firearm Rights Group Flies Aerial Banner Over Maryland Statehouse On Session’s Final Day

Today, firearms rights activists including the well-known Patriot Picket demonstration group will be sending a towed aerial banner over the Maryland Statehouse for 90 minutes starting at noon to confront the Democrat legislature about gun bills that are seen only as punishment for law abiding citizens.

The tow-plane banner will read: “#We Will Not Comply! How About You Larry?”

This airborne messaging is a continuation of the “We Will Not Comply!” demonstrations on the sidewalks at the state house in Annapolis during this session. The campaign has drawn national attention because of the hundreds of demonstrators wearing shirts that say “We Will Not Comply!” The shirts have been seen regularly during the 2019 legislative session.

The project is the brainchild of James Grose, a Patriot Picket member and Vice President of The Frederick County Conservative Club. “I’ve run into so many roadblocks trying to get our firearms rights messages out on social media, including Facebook, about Maryland Democrat legislators punishing firearm owners with laws that do nothing to reduce crime”, said Mr. Grose. “This is costing me a lot of money, but many others feel the same way and are helping with the cost. As far as we know flying a political message over the Statehouse has never been done before”.

The aerial banner protest is designed not only to pressure legislators, but Governor Larry Hogan as well, who has the power to veto this punishing legislation if it passes.

Firearm owners remain angry that Governor Hogan signed the controversial Red Flag Law last session, which has already taken the life of one Maryland resident who misunderstood a firearms confiscation action against him — an action that firearms groups contend is unconstitutional.

  1. While not every Civil Rights group has the money to use an airplane to promote civil rights this is a very good way to get attention from the general public and political leadership.

It’s nice to see people Behind Enemy Lines, in a slave state, fighting for their rights in public. Where do I go to donate?

    • Behind enemy lines is spot on. A month or so back, I was fwd a current pic, of bomb proof ARMORED UN vehicle, (oh, the toys!) in a MARYLAND service bay being readied for use.
It wasn’t from a dead battery for sitting in storage, hidden from public view, like all those “billions of hollow point ammo served” are tucked away.
Posters around here don’t like huffers, so they can **** and.puff, and blow the un house down as the nursery rhyme goes.
Wait, there must be a chapter on this in my ccw course guide, what to, when to, how not to.
      I know it’s here somewhere.

  2. Thanks patriot picket group. All these new ideas , Bill’s , gun laws. Are unconstitutional. If enough people stand up and say enough is enough , maybe we will have a chance of keeping our rights , and not becoming criminals. Noncompliance is a start.

  3. This should be happening in every state capitol during any gun control laws being discussed.

    • Are you aware of the current list of big time politicos, former ambassadors, and big time GOP fund raisers are in UNISON, signed off on anti-AR and semi auto weapons? Desantis is a Koch puppet, Rubio a Western Cabal Romney /Cruz ally.
Florida is in harms way in 2020, and is purrr-ple now. Parkland f.f. b.s., no action, all ducks quieted, SN, AFU!
We are not gtg, we are in the crosshairs.

  4. Still trying to find where to buy the “we will not comply” white T-shirts this group wore to a state hearing. It needs to be made a national tool, and placed inside every time capsule buried this year as a reminder to future generations.

  5. I used to do volunteer work alongside Ted Anderson. Anderson did grunt work like the rest of us, but he also arranged for and paid for a lot of airplane banners like this. Even though I spoke to him for 2-3 hours a week for at least 6 months, I never got a handle on his character. He was an enigmatic guy that only teased about what he thought of the likes of Alex Jones. I stopped listening when ever he talked about gold though. Anyway, individuals, even if fairly well heeled ones, can and do do this sort of thing.

  6. The people passing these laws don’t care if you comply as long as they can still get re-elected.

    • Hannibal says……………… “The people passing these laws don’t care if you comply as long as they can still get re-elected.”

Maybe we need to start picketing outside their local / campaign offices with signs stating that if they vote against the 2nd, we will not vote for them; and will do everything we can to prevent their re-election. Perhaps they will get the message.

    • Spot on!!!!! These sub-human scum subsist on votes… Nothing these people do will change the fact that this country is under an unconstitutional occupation government and the ONLY way to keep your rights is to stop the illegal aliens changing the demographic of this country…. OVERNIGHT

  7. “One may well ask: How can you advocate breaking some laws and obeying others?” wrote King. “The answer lies in the fact that there are two types of laws: just and unjust. I would be the first to advocate obeying just laws. One has not only a legal but a moral responsibility to obey just laws. Conversely, one has a moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws. I would agree with St. Augustine that ‘an unjust law is no law at all.’ Martin Luther King.

MLK got it. The Patriot Picket gets it.

Stand and Fight is not just the motto of the NRA, it is what is required if you want to keep your guns.

  8. Just get off Facebook,,, put it on a cloud, you still get notifications & can check them out if you want,,, I got off a couple years ago because they were censoring my comments & I don’t miss it at all,,, & thank to the Patriot Picket for standing up for the 2A,,, something the politicians swore a oath to do,,, but won’t.
    MAGA…!!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  9. Larry Hogan is a good man and far better than the racist Ben Jealous but he’s hemmed in by a democratic legislature. Nothing will change in M.D. as long as 4 counties full of liberal democrats call the shots.

  10. How about a t-shirt that says “Not only will we not comply, but we will work against your getting re-elected” ?

  11. I bet THEIR Demo-Authoritarian Run Government will start “Red Flagging”,(🚫Bill of Rights-Free Zones”🚫), Pro2@ supporters, maybe even some Trump supporters…DemoCommies like to mirror other EU-Globalist/NWO countries that have started the “One-World 🌎 Global Governance agendas…”

  12. Hope TTAG posts a follow-up story. The close of the Maryland legislative session went better than many 2A rights proponents in the state probably expected.
