Coalition to Stop Gun Violence anti-gun agit prop

The Campaign to Stop Gun Violence will stop at nothing to stop Americans from exercising their natural, civil and Constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms. Mischaracterization, misdirection and maliciousness are the CSGV’s modus operandi. The image above, posted on their Facebook page, shows the depths to which the antis’ anti will sink. Do these “kids” know about all the edged weapon massacres in Chinese schools? And anyway, yes, firearms-wielding spree killers and terrorist are the problem against which lockdown drills are designed. The question is what is the solution? In the anti-gun world, it’s more gun control laws. In the real world it’s a good guy – or guys – with a gun. Maybe they should put that question to the kids. Go on, Elliot. I dare you.

  1. That’s the scariest thing about a lot of children’s educational material nowadays, and not just with regards to guns. The errors are so glaring, they can only represent an agenda and not an honest mistake.

    • “What your government pays for it gets. When we understand that, then we look at government financed institutions of education and see the kind of student and the kind of education that is being turned out by these government financed schools…”-Zeitgeist

    • Youll permanently scar them! Might as well just show them a picture of the Crypt Keeper from Tales from the Crypt or some of the aliens from the Dark Crystal.

      • Two years ago my government teacher showed us a picture of Feinstein and said “don’t look into her eyes or she will turn you to stone”. Luckily, nobody looked into her eyes.

  2. The assignment could also ask, “Which of these is least likely to cause childhood death in the US?”

  3. I have an idea….we can solve the prostitution problems in many large cities by outlawing sex. Maybe we can have a permit process to allow for lawful procreation?

  4. They always ask the wrong question and give trick answers, that’s how they’ve made any progress at all. We must continue to hold them to the correct questions and real answers.

That quiz didn’t have the right answer. The right answer is their drill was to prepare to deal with a psycho, regardless of whether the psycho has a gun, a knife, a bomb, or whatever. If you ask the kids if a gun sitting by itself in their classroom is going to hurt them, or if the psycho is going to hurt them, I’m quite sure the kids will give the right answer.

  5. Have they taken a penny from foreign sources to overthrow our Constitution? There’s a name for that.

  6. Statistically, there are at least two items on that list that are more likely to be involved in the death a child than the “assault rifle”. These people are truly idiots.

  7. Why, after a massacre at a school, do anti-gun people want to change the entire world outside of the school? Instead, I motion that we change the world INSIDE the schools.

  8. The sad thing is if you reported feeling threatened by any of those things (ok, maybe not the bathtub) the school would go on lockdown.
This is coming from a current student. Our school went into lockdown for a guy in the parking lot holding an umbrella in the rain.

  9. If it was correct more people are killed with baseball bats than with guns……if your going to teach, teach the facts not the fairy tale.

  10. “You can’t fool kids.” What?!?! We have them believing in Santa Clause! You can fool kids, very easily. They look up to adults, trust adults, and many adults abuse that power to fill their minds with all sorts of Bulls***.

That is why we have Government schooling. To get ’em brainwashed before they CAN think for themselves.

  11. That’s got to be fake, right?

Show kids 5 things more likely to kill them than a firearm, and then have them circle the only one the class thinks is dangerous?

    • No Twinkies, soda, or Federally-mandated school lunches? Should have also included an enraged, cleaver-wielding clown. I’ll bet that would’ve won handily.

The funniest part of these types of ads, is that anyone, most especially parents, who thinks about the implication here (that of kids’ insight into their personal security), would conclude “what the hell do kids know about these types of ugly things.” Kids think they can live on ice cream and video games, and that they can grow up to be president or a World Series champion if they want it enough.

  12. “The lockdown drill we had in class today did jack shit to protect us against someone trying to hurt us with a:”

-Correct answer: E, All of the above

  13. So… apparently if someone starts stabbing someone in a school they just keep on lecturing and hope he gets tired?

  14. All the other items pictured kill more children each year than the AR.

I’m not sure but in a given year I think lightning strikes kill more Americans than ARs used in crimes.

  15. This doesn’t prove kids know guns are the problem. It proves that kids know that schools go into lock down for a shooter of suspected shooter, but not for any other danger.
