For some reason, this image of Black Dog Machine’s 50-round drum magazine—designed for .22-caliber AR-style rifles—doesn’t enjoy pride of place on the company’s homepage. Never mind. Click here for a link to the product page. Click here for a full-auto demo video. Click your heels three times and say “there’s no place like home, there’s no place like home.” Because there really isn’t any place as free for firearms enthusiasts as the U.S. of A; a fact that this UK “weapons fanatic” may welll contemplating for the next two years.

  1. I guess I just can’t see a point to this… The same 50 rounds could be held in a more traditional “stick” type magazine much easier.. It just looks like a lot of wasted space…

Though, a drum mag like this for .22 should easily be able to hold well over the 50 rounds it boasts… THEN it would make sense 🙂 .. 250 round drum mag?? Yes please 🙂

    • One further note .. I have 5x 22 round magazines for my GSG5 .. and could use double that number easily! It takes more time to reload than it does to fire!! A couple 250 round bad boys and I’d be in serious business … and the gophers wouldn’t stand a chance.. (heh; as IF they already did!)

  2. Did ya catch this awesome line from the UK mass murderer armed citizen?

There were 95 rounds of 9mm full metal jacket bullets recovered and four rounds of 9mm expanding ammunition, where the bullets had been hollowed out which, if used, would create more collateral damage.

Good to see the UK press still beats out the US press for ignorance regarding firearms.

    • I loved the breathy and incredulous way the writers huffed about the man having “nearly 100” rounds of ammunition!

Nearly a hundred! Can you believe it!

I wonder what these people would think if they knew that in the US you can order ammo by the thousand-lot for pretty decent prices on the internet, and get it delivered to your front door in about 3 days (at least that’s been my experience.)

  3. This bulky monstrosity holds only 50 rounds? Of .22? When an RPK drum magazine holds 75 rounds of 7.62×39? Not sure who their market is going to be…

  4. Holy crap, it’s a good thing I don’t live in the UK cuz I’d get a life sentence if they ever saw my collection of assorted weapons (I don’t only collect guns). They think that 99 rounds is a lot, one of my drums has 100 rounds (I need the drums in case I’m attacked by ninja’s).
