Irresponsible Gun Owner of the Day: Unidentified Georgia Biscuit Baker

A man keeps a gun in his oven and forgets about it. What do YOU think happens? And here’s the kicker: this is not the first time a half-baked gun owner’s been burned by this recipe for disaster. I’ll link you to the more elderly example after you read the myfoxatlanta.com story and think nobody could possibly be THAT stupid. And ask yourself this: did I ever leave my gun somewhere and forget about it, even for a few minutes?

COLLEGE PARK, Ga – Fulton County police say a man was wounded this morning by a loaded gun that his friend kept hidden in an oven.

It happened at a home in the 3600 block of Uppark Drive in College Park.

The homeowner said he hid the gun in the oven but forgot about it. Early this morning, he and his friend decided to bake some biscuits. Police say when the gun started to get hot, the bullets inside exploded.

36 year old Christopher Henderson was struck by one bullet casing. He was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center where he was treated for injuries that police say are not life-threatening.
