AUSTIN, TEXAS – The Texas Firearms Festival is proud to name Jon Wayne Taylor as the annual event’s Chief Executive Officer. Mr.Taylor is now responsible for the Festival’s day-to-day operations and its long-term future. “As Texas’s former Executive Director of Economic Development and Tourism, Jon has the skills we need to take the Texas Firearms Festival to the next level,” the event owners’ say. “More than that . . .

Jon is a Texas native and former Army combat medic. He’s a gun guy through and through. His passion for firearms and Americans’ gun rights perfectly embodies the spirit of this unique ‘come and shoot it event.”

Taylor will work with Austin’s High Beam Events to produce the 2016 Texas Firearms Festival, scheduled for October 15 and 16th at Best of the West Shooting Sports in Liberty Hill. Taylor says the 2016 Texas Firearms Festival will be bigger and better than before.

“We’re adding five new shooting bays, more retailers, new VIP perks and an even better shooting and buying experience for the firearms community,” the freshly-minted CEO says. Most 2015 festival exhibitors, including IWI, FN, Kel-Tec and SIG SAUER have already committed to returning.”

There are still a few booth openings available. Tayor added, “We’re looking for a major manufacturer to exhibit at the premier 14-position pistol range and there are a few slots for shotgun manufacturers looking to repeat Kel-Tec’s success on the shotgun fields. The naming rights for 2016 Festival are also available.”

Manufacturers interested in securing space or sponsorship opportunities at the 2016 Texas Firearms Festival should email Jon at [email protected] or call him at 512-786-4931.

“I look forward to working with and welcoming exhibitors and ticket buyers to the 2016 Texas Firearms Festival in October,” Taylor says. “See you there!”

  1. Vacation requested. Personal days before and after requested. Permission from SWMBO granted. Money and 17 and 1/2 hours are all that stand between me and my attendance. May have to sleep in the car and wash up at a gas station, but I’m going to get there!
