Lock and Load radio host Bill Frady offers his pocket dump for today’s submission from Everyday Carry.

Clearly Bill walks the walk when it comes to carrying a gun and related personal safety gear.

He carries the 2019 Carry Handgun of the Year from Industry Choice Awards – the STI Staccato “C” 2011 pistol.  In a Longs Shadow Holster IWB rig.

Add in a couple of spare mags and he’s well-prepared.

Like a good Boy Scout he carries a light (Fenix LD22) and a blade (Skallywag Tactical The Privateer Folding Knife).

      • Probably because mostly plastic but it’s water resistant to 20 bar, that is a wannabe dive watch. That’s 290psi which is about 650 feet of salt water so about 200 meters.

Most dive watches are a bit thicker than regular watches. Part of that is the thicker crystal they need to withstand depth and part of it is that the case itself needs to be thicker. Since they’re mostly rated for technical saturation (read: deep) or commercial diving.

Technically a watch like this doesn’t meet all the ISO specs (I forget the number for that set of specs) to be a “dive watch” since it lacks certain features like a battery warning indicator, shock, magnetic and chemical resistance ratings etc. but WR200m is probably going to survive recreational diving and it looks like a dive watch which is kinda an “in” thing in certain circles.

        • A common thing to do for watches like that are to label them as ‘Splash Resistant’, rather than ‘Waterproof’…

  1. I’ve been on the radio with Bill. He’s a great guy and I’m not surprised he carries good stuff.

    • Does this load out fit your 10 pound rule?
Seriously, 3 mags? A dive (sort of) watch?
      And a “manlet” bracelet?
Any idea which gym he hangs at?

  2. I think that I’d hide the fact that I wore a PowerBalance PRO ION wristband. But that’s just me.

    • I wonder what happens if someone wears one on each wrist? Other than the PowerBalance PRO ION wristband, this loadout fits that saying, “Beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young”

      • Indeed. Maybe the bracelet is some sort of solidarity thing. I dunno.

If you wear two of those things I’m pretty sure the universe just ends right there, nothing remains. Not even Hawking radiation.

Reminds me of the old microwavable heating pads for your back with the sleeve/cummerbund. The box said “NOW WITH THE POWER OF MAGNETS!!!!!!”.

        • Hawking’s Radiation , baaahaaa, my Neutrino Fission Bllomb takes care of that too

        • “The box said “NOW WITH THE POWER OF MAGNETS!!!!!!”.”

Is that something like “With the healing power of crystal” (methamphetamine)?

  3. Nice outfit… I ask why do people put serrations on front of slide? Probably to be able to click klack the pistol using front of slide. Put fingers up in front of barre. I not do. Was showed to me this cocking of gunm by holding front slide push gunm forward1980’s . Did not like then to put fingers ti front , like not now. Also to not like press check
