Many of you know Lyman for their line of reloading presses and related equipment. But Lyman is much more than that. The company also produces accessories and even guns under TacStar, Paychmayr A-Zoom and Butch’s brands, too.
They’ll be busy at SHOT next week showing off more than 40 new products across their brands. Here’s their press release:

The SHOT Show, which is one of the US’s top 25 largest trade shows, gathers over 60,000 shooting sports and outdoor retailers from around the world. At booth #12724, Lyman Products exhibits their full line of reloading tools and products, alongside their growing shooting sports accessories. This year will be no exception with the introduction of over 40 new products, available to retailers during the course of the year.

For 2019, Lyman continues to expand the Brass Smith line with the Case Trim Xpress™, a faster way for rifle reloaders to trim cases. Available in either 115V or 230V, the Case Trim Xpress can quickly and accurately trim brass at a rate of approximately 15 cases a minute! Using its own motor (no need for a power drill or separate motor), the Case Trim Xpress comes with 10 bushings that fit the most popular bottleneck rifle cartridges.

Another Lyman product new for this year is the only press stand on the market that will accept most current single station, turret and progressive presses of any brand: the Lyman Universal Press Stand*. This fatigue-reducing, all steel, heavy duty press stand allows the user to raise the press 9 ¼” above the bench surface, providing a clear view of all reloading operations while keeping the operator in an upright, back-healthy position.

Thanks, I’ll check it out. Been looking at the little crow gunworks too if anyone has experience with it. My manual trimmer cuts great, an accurate. But when your sitting on buckets of brass, “it’s a looooong day”

Although so far I haven’t had to do a tone of case trimming with 300blk cases.
Someone needs to make something for cutting .223 cases to 300 blk.
They do. Numerous small businesses make jigs to cut the brass. The jig is sized to fit a 2” cutoff saw sold by harbor freight. Makes cutting the brass easy. Insert one into the jig, cut, and when you put in the newest brass it kicks the cut brass out.
Then I size, and use a little crow gunworks trimmer to trim the brass to final length using a drill. Saves TONS of time prepping brass.
If you don’t mind abusing, it you can form the 300 BLK brass from 223 then stick it in the little crow gunworks trimmer and chew it down to the new 300 BLK shoulder. Kind of like a kid playing with an electric pencil sharpener to get a short pencil.
Long time coming and if this Lyman unit has the motor to sustain case trimming , and a set of attachments to cover most calibers, its a big step forward. This ain’t rocket science, trimming brass is like sharpening a pencil and decent machine to do that is long over due. I don’t see a price yet, I hope its fair and the unit is not some Godzilla thing .
