Over the weekend, an anti-abortion organization called Students for Life had scheduled an organizational meeting at the Catholic Newman Center on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Omaha. The first to arrive found the note above taped to the door. It was addressed to Rev. Dan Andrews, the Newman Center’s pastor.

That’s impossible for a couple of very good reasons. First, as everyone with the possible exception of the President of the United States is well aware, there’s no such thing as an AR-14 rifle.
Then there’s the fact that having concealed firearms — whether it’s an AR-14, a GLOCK 7, whatever — on campus is banned. And any possession of a firearm on the UNO campus must be pre-approved by the campus’s principal business officer.
We wouldn’t want a designated terrorist organization like Jane’s Revenge to run afoul of the University of Nebraska’s clearly written policies.

The center’s director said the incident has left them undeterred.
Who knows? Maybe referring to their “new AR14 rifles” was really just a clever way of inducing complacency by making Jane’s Revenge look like a bunch of ignorant blow-hard clowns.
Then again, the prudent thing to do, of course, is assume that the threat is, in fact, serious and take appropriate security precautions. Especially given the track record Jane’s Revenge has amassed so far.

Never seen a strike through the stem of the numeral “one”. Make that one with a foot and a flag. Lower case Lima is a straight line only. The numeral “seven” will have a flag through the stem, as will the zulu, to distinguish it from the number two.
