“Set it and forget it” is great for rotisserie ovens, but what if you didn’t have to forget about your trail cam for a day or two? Instead of returning later to pull the memory card and see what it saw, how about viewing in real time? Remotely, from your phone. Bushnell‘s new Impulse Trail Camera uses cellular data to deliver images and even provide a live view . . .

Bushnell Announces Impulse Cellular Trail Camera

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – January 12, 2018 – Bushnell, the industry leader in trail cameras, announces an enhanced level of cellular performance with the new Impulse cellular trail camera.

The new Bushnell Impulse cellular trail camera is the result of innovative and relentless engineering that delivers cellular images quicker and better than ever before. It features 20MP HD Images and true 1080p HD video. Combined with a six-month battery life, 0.2-second trigger speed and No Glow flash that reaches 100 feet, the Impulse is the high-performance cellular trail camera consumers have been waiting for.

“The new Impulse makes it faster than ever to get connected with easy setup to any smartphone and any provider, with no contract,” said Jacob Thomason, Bushnell Trail Camera category Product Manager. “Ultra-fast dual processors work simultaneously to take a picture per second versus the 1-per-minute offered by competitor cameras. This means you get more images of each animal. And it’s loaded with smarter features—like the ability to sort photos by weather and wind data, GPS anti-theft alerts, and live camera views from a smartphone.”

Impulse is available with AT&T and Verizon options so consumers can pick the one that offers the best coverage in their area. Yet, either option will deliver photos to devices using any cellular provider. Active GPS tracks the cameras whereabouts at all times, deterring theft and allowing hunters to quickly locate their cameras.

Benefit:

Better cellular coverage
More pictures than any other cellular camera
Retrieve video without going to the camera
Allows user to navigate to the camera if it is moved
Instant high res downloads and setting changes
Perfect lens alignment in any condition
User commands camera to take a picture at any time
User sees exactly what the camera sees during set up
Complete weather info at the time of image capture
Solar Panel provides near infinite battery life
Alerts owner if camera is moved, deactivates everything but the GPS

  1. Few things are more cool than watching the neighbouring landowner’s kids steal your game camera in realtime.
    🤠

  2. I don’t know how it is around other areas, but here, verizon charges per device.
So anything that uses cell data has to have a “smart phone” plan which is basically $170 a month.

    • “Useless where I hunt. Zero cell service.”

Iridium, like you used on the veldt of Africa. They are in the process of replacing their constellation.

      They now offer data plans.

      But that’s gonna get *expensive*…
