Built in Oregon, these M40 riflescopes feature a multi-coated illuminator lens system, ¼-MOA adjustments and Redfield’s exclusive Rapid Target Acquisition® eyepiece. mil dots question…. are they specific to a specific ammo load? (bullet weight / velocity)
No. A mil is a measure of angle. With fairly simple math you use the angle measurements and your scope’s magnification power to estimate range and bullet drop (and lead and windage).
You do have to redo the calculations (or field testing) for each load.
