There is fearmongering, and then there is Newsweek-level fearmongering.

The once-respected news magazine – which a former reporter recently described as “a painful embarrassment to anyone who toiled there in its golden age,” which is now known for its incendiary click-bait – is at it again, blasting conservatives, gun owners and the Second Amendment, while warning its shrinking über-woke readership of a coming civil war.

A recent story by their science writer, David H. Freedman, titled “Millions of Angry, Armed Americans Stand Ready to Seize Power If Trump Loses in 2024,” is so biased, so heavily spun and just so damn creepy, it defies belief that it was actually set into type by an alleged news publication, or what purports to be a news publication or, more accurately, what used to be an actual news publication.

Those responsible for this inflammatory hit piece should be ashamed. It went lightyears beyond the normal partisan sniping. It defames conservatives, the military and everyone who owns a gun.

Like most anti-gun stories, there are no facts or data. Rather, Freedman stacked a few quotes from anti-gun “experts,” added a dash of propaganda from Everytown, slapped on his byline and hit send.

He opens by creating a straw man out of a 73-year-old Vietnam veteran who, like millions of other Americans, does not support the Biden-Harris administration. Freedman wrote . . .

He is one of many rank-and-file Republicans who own guns and in recent months have talked openly of the need to take down – by force if necessary – a federal government they see as illegitimate, overreaching and corrosive to American freedom.

And then the unprecedented lies begin to flow:

In 2020, 17 million Americans bought 40 million guns and in 2021 were on track to add another 20 million. If historical trends hold, the buyers will be overwhelmingly white, Republican and southern or rural.

Historical trends? Actually, an overwhelming number of liberal city dwellers including many people of color bought their first firearm over the past two years.

Freedman quoted UCLA law professor Adam Winkler as saying . . .

The idea that people would take up arms against an American election has gone from completely farfetched to something we have to start planning for and preparing for.

He described Winkler as “an expert on gun policy and constitutional law.” I wonder how the good professor thinks we should start preparing for a civil war. Build internment camps? Abolish Fourth Amendment protections? Electronically chip and track any American suspected of disloyalty?

An October study from Everytown for Gun Safety and the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project (ACLED) looked at 560 protests involving armed participants over an 18-month period through mid-2021, and found that a sixth of them turned violent, and some involved fatalities.

Personally, I trust Everytown data about as much as I’d trust a $20 EOTECH from Wish.com.

If armed violence erupts the 2024 elections, quelling it could fall to the U.S. military, which may be reluctant to take arms against U.S. citizens. In that case, the fate of the nation might well be decided by a simple fact: a big subset of one of the two parties has for years been systemically arming itself for this very reason.

In other words, Freedman says, the military is unlikely to fire on American citizens, so Republicans and Democrats will shoot it out amongst themselves unhindered, and only Republicans actually own guns since they’ve been prepping for a civil war for years.

Sure, pal.

Absent a strong response from some combination of police, National Guard and military, it’s easy to see how Republicans would be in a position to essentially take control of the country simply by virtue of their massive arsenal.

While I’m somewhat happy I’d be on the winning team in Freedman’s farcical fantasy world, I can’t help but feel sorry for the little fella. He’s clearly in need of help. He needs some serious head-shrinking – at least a few hat sizes. I hope his friends and family can intervene quickly, before he goes completely beaucoup dinky-dau.

Freedman’s work isn’t a typical news magazine opinion piece. It’s defamatory and harmful – by far the worst I’ve ever seen. It’s so far over the top that we cannot let it stand without voicing strong opposition. If you would care to share your thoughts with Newsweek’s editors, you can reach them at [email protected].

One of the main reasons we created the Second Amendment Foundation’s Investigative Journalism Project was to counter the legacy media’s lies and false narratives. However, I never dreamed I’d ever see anything this bad. In my humble opinion, Newsweek’s story is dangerous – damn near an open declaration of war.

    • As Vox Day says, SJWs always lie, always double down, and always project.

Team tyranny accuses their “enemies” of the very thing that they themselves are doing. The globalist Marxist fascists have hijacked our country and then attack us for not cheering it on.

      • These wacky liberal Democrats are driving this country towards Revolution. They know that the only way their nutty ideas will be accepted by the American people is if they are disarmed. A disarmed society is a powerless society. This country is the only free country in this world that is capable of defending itself. That’s why its enemies know the only way to destroy it is by doing it from within. We have an education system that is turning out a generation of naive socialists. How much longer we can remain a free people is anybody’s guess. God help us.

      • Well said! “Team Tyranny”- love it! Couldnt have said it better myself except to mention the sheer shrill volume at which they proclaim their lies and attack those they target…
So reminiscent of Weimar Germany and the tactics used by the communists to disrupt and destroy German society in the 1920’s. Ironically, they call themselves “anti-fascist” when fascist is exactly what they are! Typical of their schtick…

    • What utter nonsense! Who writes these silly articles for the Leftist magazines? Someone educated in China?

  1. This is the liberal corollary to the “white supremacists have infested the military” meme they’ve been pushing.

Liberals demonize and “other-ize” conservatives just like their bolshevik forbears demonized kulaks and just like the nazis did jews. It’s how they justify their oppression.

Newsweek isn’t an outlier, it’s an accurate barometer of liberal thought.

  2. Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. Experience has taught us that it is much easier to prevent an enemy from posting themselves than it is to dislodge them after they have got possession, and when the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.George Washington

  3. Is Newzweak still a dead tree rag? With the disappearing news/magazine racks I have no clue. If it ain’t it should be(although they give more credibility to the unorganized militia than I ever would!)

  4. Jan 6th scared them so badly it has caused a year long witch hunt.

They know what they’re doing, they know the masses don’t like it and they know the people are getting tired of it and now panic has set in.

They’ve pushed the quiet kid too far and now are afraid he may actually fight back and they know they can’t fight so the goal is to smear his name as hard as possible in order to get as many others on your side as possible before the fight in hopes they will stop the punches before they reach them.

    • They loved the Capitol riot. They’ll ride this story as long as possible. It’s just another excuse for them to save the country from the crazy hillbillies. They need something to fight for and get their base pumped up. They’re not interested in fighting for normal stuff that we actually want like stopping the overspending and endless expansion of government that gives us inflation and oppression.

    • “They’ve pushed the quiet kid too far and now are afraid he may actually fight back”

like clausewitz said, war begins with defense.

    • Quote: “bob December 22, 2021 At 12:29
Jan 6th scared them so badly it has caused a year long witch hunt.

They know what they’re doing, they know the masses don’t like it and they know the people are getting tired of it and now panic has set in.”

What violence occurred on 6 January was done by leftist perpetrating a false flag operation to place blame on Trump and conservatives. The media has beat that drum ever since.

The Left has been calling for violent revolution since the 1960s and they continue to do so. They demonize conservatives and blame them for the very things they are planning.

In view of their plans for us everyone should…. Be Prepared !!!

  5. It isn’t Republicans or the far-right who think simply disagreeing with them is grounds for use of deadly force but Democrats, and more specifically, the far-Left who have been arming-up over the past few years. Such was the case when Aaron “Jay’ Danielson was gunned down in cold blood in Portland, Oregon by left-wing Antifa extremist Michael Reinoehl. Reinoehl was later shot and killed by police after firing on officers. Danielson’s estate is reportedly suing the City of Portland for their inaction regarding the violence of Antifa members which is claimed to have resulted in Danielson’s death.

  6. Adam Winkler has already pointed out how difficult it would be to confiscate guns. He would have to take off his mask and expose himself as the college educated racist that he is.
Because now there are many law abiding dark skin people are buying guns. And speaking out about they’re right to keep and bear arms. As recognized by the Second Amendment.

And Adam Winkler is not a supporter of the Second Amendment. He never has been. But he understands that if he uses the rhetoric of the gun confiscators, he will not be selling as many books. Nor will he be getting as many invitations ($$$) to speak.

    • “Adam Winkler has already pointed out how difficult it would be to confiscate guns”

so they won’t confiscate the guns. they’ll just cancel anyone they suspect of having any. one morning you’ll wake up and find your phone dead, your power disconnected, your internet down, your bank account frozen, your credit cards cancelled, and all your licenses/permits pulled. that’s it. that’s all they’ll do – click “eliminate” on their systems and poof, you’re gone. you can rage and shoot in the streets all you want, it won’t touch them, and soon you’ll just be plain old gone as far as they are concerned.

      • That would be an immensely stupid course of action. You have just taken away everything that is meaningful to a person (what brings civilization), yet you have left them with a full capability to wreak destruction. As JFK said, without the option of peaceful revolution, violent revolution becomes inevitable. If even a miniscule percentage decide their life is effectively over and to go out it a blaze of glory, they couldn’t be stopped. If each one decided to take out one police officer or lefty politician at the cost of their own life, there wouldn’t be any antigunners or police left. There also aren’t enough police to go door-to-door seizing guns before they would be faced with armed opposition and destroyed by attrition.

  7. Thank God for the founders of this country and the writers of our nation’s founding documents. They created a process that would eventually make more and more people free. And they recognized the right of everyone, to keep and bear the tools, to protect themselves from a tyrannical government.

That makes it extremely inconvenient for some people.

    • Same people that do everything they can to discredit and destroy those legacies. May or may not overlap with those that hate God/basic moral standards in general.

    • “And they recognized the right of everyone, to keep and bear the tools, to protect themselves from a tyrannical government”

the tools are irrelevant if the citizens won’t work together as a nation. and the ones behind all this have 1) trained you not to, and 2) locked up the tools you’d need to do so.

  8. Well while I do not believe that conservatives or anyone else are planning a coup they certainly have reason to do so. This Government has declared war on American Citizens generally and Conservatives specifically. Cases in point allowing illegals, refugees, and criminals to live in this Country as privileged individuals who do not have to follow the same Covid-19 and other rules and laws that Conservatives and others are constantly bothered with. Real criminals are released without charges or get a slap on the wrist yet Conservatives are held accountable for the letter of the law. The media did not yell insurrection when Blue Cities burned and local, state and Federal buildings were being attacked and burned. Yet when the Capitol demonstrators occupied the Capitol murder of Ashli Babbitt and enforcement of the law with stiff penalites has been administered to the demonstrators of January 6th. So personally a coup sounds reasonable to me because this Government has declared war on its own citizens in a multitude of ways and they do deserve to be throw out of Government Office by whatever means is appropriate. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

    • dprato,

I share many of your thoughts.

I don’t know any conservatives who actually want and are planning for a coup. What I do hear from many conservatives is that they are bending over backwards for Progressives and cannot bend much farther. If Progressives keep pushing Conservatives ever harder into an ever smaller corner, Conservatives will have no choice but to come out swinging at that point.

If that time comes, Progressives will be at fault. Remember, the Progressive Party wants the following with the guaranteed consequences:

      — open borders
immigrants will flood our nation and cause low wages and housing shortages

      — unlimited government entitlement spending
massive inflation will happen and reduce everyone’s standard of living

      — no sexes
humiliation and even sexual assaults of girls in bathrooms and locker rooms

      — minority restitution
most crimes not prosecuted, massive theft, massive violent crime

      — equity
universal LOW wages and an end to private property ownership

      — free speech accountability
“thought crimes” and suppression of “politically incorrect” speech

      — universal healthcare
government bans effective treatments and mandates unwanted procedures

      — religious liberty
bans on church services, time immemorial tenants are “hate crimes”

I could go on: you get the idea. When Progressives are continually violating your human dignity and all signs point to increasing violations, how much farther are you obligated, out of general human decency, to let Progressives go before you finally put your foot down and tell them, “Enough is enough!”

      • Progressives don’t want you to bend over backwards. They want you to bend over forwards for them and take it.

They don’t lift people up. They pull everyone down to the lowest common level for equality.

Get used to shantytowns spreading from the west coast across the rest of the country.

        • There’s a plan to stop that from happening. We can’t fix California, New York, etc. Sorry to the cool dudes that live there. We can contain it. It’s already happening. There’s an exodus from the blue states to the red (free) states. We need more good people to leave those states so we can strengthen the red states and turn the purple states red.

People are becoming more aware of the phonies in the Republican party. We need to primary every one of them, including some big names that have been around for years. (No, a third party isn’t realistic.) Remake the party, remake the politics of individual states, and change the trajectory of the country. I know you’re not from here Southern Cross, but you seem to be very familiar with our politics.

        • “They don’t lift people up. They pull everyone down to the lowest common level for equality.”

          Very close, but not quite.

The word to home in on is ‘equity’, not equality. They are deliberately using that word in the hope you mistake it for equality.

Listen to VP Harris in her own words :

“There’s a big difference between equality and equity.”

          https://twitter.com/KamalaHarris/status/1322963321994289154

          Equity is equality of *outcome*.

That’s communism. We really need to start pounding on that word, because it doesn’t mean equality…

        • They love their buzz words. Equity inspires warm and fuzzy feelings within the mindless mob. They hate equality.

      • “I don’t know any conservatives who actually want and are planning for a coup”

they’re incapable of it. doing so would require 1) nationalism, and 2) teamwork, but they been trained to avoid those like the plague.

  9. They are trying to get the people ready for when they steal the mid terms . When that happens then they will declare martial law because I know I will not be the only person ready to roll. We will all know what is happening by then. Do you want to live forever? I will proudly shoot commie traitors, I am not afraid of death.

    • “When that happens then they will declare martial law because I know I will not be the only person ready to roll. We will all know what is happening by then. Do you want to live forever? I will proudly shoot commie traitors, I am not afraid of death.“

Thanks for confirming the premise of the Newsweek article.

    • The Feds won’t dismiss your weapons charges because you posted this. You do glow in the dark, though.

  10. I just got through reading the article by this “journalist”.

Joseph Goebbels would be proud of the propaganda issuing from this moron. He completely twists any actual facts to his viewpoint and makes up the rest.

What’s really disturbing is the fact that the low information voters out there may actually read this and take it to heart. It’s also a pity that the editorial staff would allow such one sided hate mongering to actually be published.

    • “It’s also a pity that the editorial staff would allow such one sided hate mongering to actually be published”

they’re subsidized to do exactly that.

  11. They either screw everything up or basically declare war on the American people trying to transform the country into socialism and then tell everyone they should fear for their lives when the population fights back.

What makes it even more ridiculous is that there are many that will believe this insanity.

  12. Lots of MSM predictive programming going on.
If/when some glowing fed or mentally fragile patsy makes it happen nobody will question for it has all been foretold by the mighty media oracles.

  13. The People do not need guns, although it would certainly help. Jan 6th was a ‘coup attempt’ according to the Left without guns.
Enough people is all it takes.

It’s not about a possible ‘coup’ in their minds, it’s about the guns, always has been.

    • Manse Jolly,

      Excellent points.

There were no obvious armed “insurrectionists” in Washington, D.C. on January 6th. And yet they successfully, “stormed the castle.”

Clearly, all you need are a lot of people (not firearms) to take over something.

I agree: all of these, “sky is falling,” screams are nothing more than justification to disarm the masses.

      • It doesn’t need to be firearms. There were dozens armed with crowbars and some with tomahawks, others had knives and ice axes and baseball bats and tasers and pepper spray and metal fence stakes and hockey sticks. Others used improvised weapons from what was laying around, for example, flag poles, and some used their bare hands.

Some with a stated or implied purpose of using violence and threats of violence to impede and stop the election process by finding and stopping Mike Pence from counting the electoral votes.

The overall definition of insurrection is; an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government.

“Rebellion” implies an open formidable resistance that is often unsuccessful.

“Revolution” applies to a successful rebellion resulting in a major change (e.g. as in a change in government).

“Uprising” implies a brief, limited, and often immediately ineffective rebellion.

“Revolt” and “Insurrection” imply an armed uprising that quickly fails or succeeds.

A man named Ryan Nichols had a crowbar and yelled into a bullhorn, “If you have a weapon, you need to get your weapon!” In one of the videos at his trial he yelled “This is not a peaceful protest.”

Videos showed Officer Mike Fanone, Capital Police, being pulled into the crowd where he was tased and beaten until he lost consciousness. During the attack, rioters began to grab for his service weapon and shouted, “Kill him with his own gun.” Other rioters eventually helped him and escorted him back into the building away from harm.

No matter what one thinks about what happened on Jan 6th or what it is called – one thing is certain; Although not all of the people there were engaged directly or intended malice and the majority were “peaceful” and just there to be ‘part’ of it —- there were up to about ~150 idiots who were intentionally violently engaged, intentionally armed, and were intending malice and harm and violence.

    • I disagree that it’s all about the guns. They are secondary. Primary is the belief that the private citizen should be completely passive. The danger to our freedom comes from those, either in government or aspiring to positions in government, who believe the Bill of Rights should be replaced by a single sentence: You have the right to shut up and do as you are told.

  14. ‘Imagine the unimaginable’: Retired general warns threats to democracy worse than January 6th are coming

    https://www.rawstory.com/trump-coup-2024/

“The most important thing is accountability,” said General Anderson. “You need to be — we need to account for all the people, all the insurrectionists that participated, and a lot of them are being brought to justice, but we haven’t accounted for the leaders. The people out there — the Josh Hawleys, the Donald Trumps, the people that fanned the flames of insurrection and then stood back and acted surprised when it happened.

    • General Anderson also warned about the potential threat of radicalization from within the ranks of the United States military.

“But the other thing that we advocate in our op-ed is that we need to educate soldiers and sailors and airmen and marines on civics 101,” Anderson continued. “You need to understand the difference between allegiance to the Constitution, and allegiance to a cult-like figure, like — like Donald Trump. We cannot let that happen. We signed an oath to the Constitution, not to a person. We need to gather intelligence about the people within our midst. We need to find out next — the next generation of insurrectionists out there and we need get them out of the Army. And I believe the military took a step in that direction today with this new policy in which they are making it very difficult to become an active member in an extreme group which is really good.”

And the final thing I would say is strategic planning and working,” added Anderson. “We need to think now. We need to imagine the unimaginable. When I — a year ago, if somebody told me on the 6th of January, we would have thousands of Americans storming the Capitol, I would have said it’s ridiculous. It’s unimaginable. Well, we need to think about 2024 now. There are things out there that could happen — cybersecurity and other threats — we got to start thinking about it now and take action.”

        • Somebody should cure Fauci’s lead deficiency. He has been lying to us since the 80’s and has been a part of every admenstruation for 40 years. His crimes against humanity cannot be overstated. That has nothing to do with overthrowing the government.

If you think 1/6 was an insurrection then i hope you have your shitting pants on. If a real one ever happens you are going to shit your pants.

        • dacian, you have past ridiculous and are well on your way to sublime. The Jan 6th “insurrection” wasn’t and “insurrection” in any way shape or form. You and your Leftist propaganda machine have painted a picture which when the cases come to trial will show it was a riot, not an insurrection.
Your General should have been drummed out of the armed forces. As the only thing you have ever served is McDonald’s, you have a lot of nerve even quoting a General who is probably as unhinged as you are.

    • I would bet that anyone who served gives less than a d@mn what some poag one star says. A one star is a private among generals. No cushions and they sit at the top of the bleachers..lol.

  15. I’m pretty old and the memory’s not what it used to be, but didn’t Newsweek used to be an “actual” news magazine??

    • “didn’t Newsweek used to be an ‘actual’ news magazine?”

no. it successfully posed as one, printing lots of actual news and valid opinions, but now the mask is off and the propaganda outlet its owners always intended is in full view.

  16. “what purports to be a news publication”

    it’s not. it’s a subsidized propaganda outlet.

“Those responsible for this inflammatory hit piece should be ashamed”

they’re not. they’re proud, and well-paid, and highly praised in their tribal circle.

  17. “so Republicans and Democrats will shoot it out amongst themselves unhindered”

(shrug) politics the way it used to be.

  18. “In my humble opinion, Newsweek’s story is dangerous – damn near an open declaration of war”

their owners have been waging war against the rest of the world for 2000 years. and the war was declared long before that.

  19. Well, I guess its time to buy another AR, as well as a year’s supply of beanie weenies.
You have beaned warned America – get ready to Rumblllllllllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

  20. I’m afraid a bunch of bafoons among us are going to take the bait and do something stupid, and then we are gonna be in for the fight of our lives. The bravado of some is just as stupid as the left. This macho garbadge is going to hurt us bad. Revolution in imitation of the founders is the only way to win. Reckless violence in the streets could be the death of us. DONT TAKE THE BAIT!!!!

    • “Revolution in imitation of the founders is the only way to win”

(shrug) they can’t. they’ve been trained not to, and in any case they’re not economically independent enough to do so.

“then we are gonna be in for the fight of our lives”

you already are. right now. whether you want to be or not.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” solzhenitsyn

  21. Read the entire original article, this bunch is so out of touch that they think some sort of armed insurrection would actually happen. While there are millions of people who would be ready to stand against some new tyranny, there is absolutely no need. The Republicans will take both House and Senate next year and none of the vulnerable Democrats in office will be willing to stick their necks out for Biden or his “legacy” in the run up to the midterms. At that point Biden is a lame duck and the Democrat back bench is full of politicians who are wildly unpopular with most of middle America, so 2024 will go to whoever the GOP runs.

    • Which is why the dems suddenly changed their focus to federally controlled elections. They aren’t winning people over with their grand ideas.

  22. I’m proud My country the United States of America has a pedophile as president.
    .
Theres no way in hell I’d let my kids near that guy, president or not. And I disrespect the parents who did for not saying something about it.
A handshake and a smile from The President was worth the child porn I guess.
What skeletons hide in theBidens closet?
    We’ll never know.

  23. This is not all white, rural, Southern, VietNam vets. There are many Boomers that were not drafted, black, latino, white who feel the same way.(Many are from Ca). We felt we were robbed, but do not want to start a civil war to put a man(past his prime) back in power. We have that now, we need a strong America first leader. A leader that wants the US to produce, to never be held hostage because we don’t have certain industries in our country.

I am a JFK Democrat, as are many others. We need to be able to transport oil in pipelines, to buy it from North America. We need to use our natural resources to make our own steel and mine from North America. We should never send raw materials to other countries so they can produce to sell back to us. Our people need real jobs and careers, a route to the middle class and, if they desire to, raise families while working to support them.

We need to have programs that companies can teach and keep hires so they can rise from within, not just require a piece of paper from some liberal college that only a middle class slacker living on his/her parents dime can acquire.

They need to hire the young person who has started a family and give him/her a chance to show what they can do, not just relegate them to welfare, flipping burgers or slinging drugs to be branded a second class citizen for life because they had children young.

That is a forward thinking JFK Democrat

  24. “The most terrifying force of death comes from the hands of men who wanted to be left alone. They try, so very hard, to mind their own business and provide for themselves and those they love. They resist every impulse to fight back, knowing the forced and permanent change of life that will come from it. They know that the moment they fight back, their lives as they have lived them, are over. The moment the men who wanted to be left alone are forced to fight back, it is a form of suicide. They are literally killing off who they used to be. Which is why, when forced to take up violence, these men who wanted to be left alone, fight with unholy vengeance against those who murdered their former lives. They fight with raw hate, and a drive that cannot be fathomed by those who are merely play-acting at politics and terror. TRUE TERROR will arrive at these people’s door, and they will cry, scream, and beg for mercy… but it will fall upon the deaf ears of the men who just wanted to be left alone.”

  25. A bit alarming to me that the Newsweek article is followed immediately by a podcast debating the question “Is the U.S. Constitution fit for the 21t Century?” Therein lies the problem.

  26. There’s a massive difference between another Civil War, which ain’t going to happen, and some far right shitheads acting out violently. It is completely possible that some number of damned fool shit for brains will attempt to use guns in attempting to steal an election in 2022 or 2024. That’s the mood out there on the fringes.

They would fail of course. There simply are not enough people that deranged for them to succeed. For POTG the bad part is any attempt to overthrow the government will harm efforts to defend the Second Amendment and remove infringements upon it.

  27. Been seeing more and more articles like this in the past few weeks.
    The Atlantic had one.
Clinton emerged from her compound to declare of the end of democracy in 2024 if Trump were to run and win, again.
Some ex-generals were saying something similar, units going rogue or some other non-sense.

What I could see happening, a Clinton, Trump rematch, Trump wins both the popular and elector votes, the dems and senior woke military officers conspiring to null and void the election, and installing Clinton as the president.
Why not? We have already seen senior military officers conspiring with a senior dem leader.

  28. They just might be on to something. There are a lot of fed up Americans that don’t want Socialism or a Communist-style dictatorship in this country. Just like in 1775, armed patriots took up arms against an oppressive monarchy and won their freedom. When ballots don’t work (i.e.: rigged 2020 election), bullets do. We are ready, willing and able to do that again if need be. That is the exact reason why our Founding Fathers wrote the Second Amendment. Maybe Newsweek’s headline should read: ‘The Patriots are coming! The Patriots are coming!’

  29. If the left is loudly and preemptively blaming something on its enemies, you can be damn sure they’re planning to do that exact thing themselves, or something very much like it…if they aren’t doing it already.

They’ll be using this phantom menace to justify all manner of perfidious behavior.
