President Joe Biden made an announcement he hopes will excite the gun control activists for his 2024 reelection bid. The president is calling in his Big Gun to “lead the messaging” on his gun control accomplishments to generate buzz.

Media reported the president assigned Vice President Kamala Harris, widely panned as “one of the worst VPs in history,” to be the “leading voice” on gun control and charged her with making those issues front and center for the campaign.

Election Day 2024 is “just” about 500 days away.

The Message

President Biden is in dire need of some help to sell his gun control bona fides to the activists he wants to keep satisfied. He has failed to pass meaningful gun control legislation around many of his biggest promises and all but admitted he’s unable to do so. His biggest targets continue to be renewing a national ban on modern sporting rifles (MSRs) and to continue the false attacks against the lawful firearm industry through repeated lies.

MSRs are the most popular-selling centerfire rifles in America, with more than 24.4 million in circulation since 1990. That makes them more common than there are Ford F-150 pickup trucks on the road. Public polling around MSRs and whether or not they should be banned shows Americans are much more informed and accepting of the popular semiautomatic rifle and that they don’t support a ban. The current data flies in the face of what the president and his chief messenger Vice President Harris want to pitch to the American people.

The gun control White House duo of President Biden and Vice President Harris face significant obstacles in setting the gun control agenda. The first is Congress and the second is the U.S. Constitution.

Congress won’t entertain legislation introduced to ban MSRs – AR-15 and AK-47 style rifles and their variants. That’s not to say the Biden administration couldn’t attempt to try to get creative with executive orders and rewriting regulations. They’ve done as much with the Frame & Receiver Final Rule and the Stabilizing Pistol Brace Final Rule. Both are dubious though and are facing legal and legislative challenges.

Gun control activists remain irritated and angry at the Biden administration for their inaction on more gun control. What they’re really mad at is that the Biden administration doesn’t have the authority to erase the Second Amendment, which is preventing a radical gun control agenda.

The Messenger

“It is time for Congress to act and stop with the false choices. This is not about getting rid of the Second Amendment,” the vice president once told CNN. “If we really want something that is going to be lasting, we need to pass legislation.”

That’s a stark contrast to when Vice President Harris was a candidate for the top job. During the 2020 presidential race, she vowed to voters to go on her own, unilaterally, to enact strict gun control measures if Congress didn’t act within her first 100 days in office. That included pledging to ban the importation of all so-called “assault weapons,” or MSRs.

According to media reports, she also pledged to mandate “near universal background checks” requiring anyone who sells five or more guns per year to run background checks on all sales and that she would “revoke a gun dealer or manufacturer license if they broke the law and make them criminally liable” through executive action.

Vice President Harris has a challenging task ahead to lead the messaging efforts for an administration that’s facing the realities of trying to sell something the American public isn’t buying. The administration has already admitted failure to do what they promised and are stymied to act further on gun control restrictions.

‘I Did That’

For President Biden’s campaign to attempt to convince the American public to re-hire him, it may not matter who the messenger is on their gun control platform, Vice President Harris or someone else. Americans just might not be buying it. After all, it’s President Biden who has overseen the ongoing historic firearm purchasing stretch.

The confluence of several circumstances has meant the political calculus has changed for voters when it comes to gun rights and firearm ownership. The elected leaders who represent them would be wise to take note.

Significant numbers of minorities have purchased firearms since 2020, including African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans. Women have made up between 30-40 percent of firearm purchasers during this historic stretch. Gun rights groups from across the political spectrum, including progressive left-leaning groups, are popular and seeing membership numbers dramatically increase.

It might be time to get one of the gas pump stickers of President Joe Biden saying, “I did that.” It’s his administration’s policies that are driving millions of Americans to lawful gun ownership. Sending Vice President Harris out on the trail to be the “leading voice” on those policies doesn’t resemble an administration that’s listening to the American people.

  1. biden, you know the thing, ‘tapped’ her? He must have put a bag over his head and one over hers just in case they fell off.

  2. I take this to mean they don’t believe gun control messaging matters in the run up to the 2024 election. They don’t give Cackling Kamala serious tasks.

    • And/or give her tasks where if she fails spectacularly it is racist/sexist to call out her lack of ability/performance.

    • “They don’t give Cackling Kamala serious tasks.”

‘Zactly. And that’s good news for us, since not even their own like her.

I love how they keep lamenting about how they wish they could make guns not cool, all the while Hollywood demonstrates just how cool guns are. And the kids love watching those movies.

They would really love to to do to us and our guns what they did to the cigarette industry (basically, make them socially unacceptable), but that won’t be happening with guns, because Hollywood keeps demonstrating guns solve problems, and guys that solve problems with guns get the girls.

      They’re fucked, and they know it… 🙂

    • Yep. Her schedule shows a blog session with a rapper, a focus group with some kids, and tea on The View. Her staff pulled out all the stops.

        • That’s fair. Trump, for all the good judge and policy stuff he did, is a bit of preening bloke.

    • I wouldn’t go so far as saying they’re done, but they are kinda cornered at this point.

(That doesn’t mean, however, that should something come up that they can exploit, they will…)

  3. Kamala understands that tomorrow’s promise is historically a future past, only in reverse, which is why we must re-engage for the children.

    All rational people understand that.

  4. When Kamala has solved the border crisis and the issue of artificial intelligence im sure she’ll have plenty of time to solve “Gun violence.”

  5. Thank God he gave this to Harris. Her success record is so stellar she can’t help but succeed (sarc).

    • thats her/it artificial intelligence cuz there sure ain’t no real intelligence

  6. I’m sure she’ll be as effective in that role as she has been in addressing the southern border.

  7. Harris on community banks: “We invested an additional $12 billion into community banks, because we know community banks are in the community, and understand the needs and desires of that community as well as the talent and capacity of community.”

  8. Harris on Jamaica: “We also recognize just as it has been in the United States, for Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way of its impact has been the pandemic.

“So to that end, we are announcing today also that we will assist Jamaica in COVID recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential to, I believe, what is necessary to strengthen not only the issue of public health but also the economy.”

  9. Excellent choice Jim Crow Gun Control democRat joe…Put giggles on dumpster patrol, odds are good hunter tossed another gun somewhere.

  10. Harris on Roe v. Wade: “I think that, to be very honest with you, I do believe that we should have rightly believed, but we certainly believe that certain issues are just settled. Certain issues are just settled.”

  11. Harris on Covid:

“… it’s time for us to do what we have been doing, and that time is every day …

“Every day it is time for us to agree that there are things and tools that are available to us to slow this thing down. And so right now we know we still have a number of people that, that is in the millions of Americans who have not been vaccinated, and could be vaccinated, and we are urging them to get vaccinated because it will save their life.”

  12. Harris on Chicago violence: “We’ve got to take this stuff seriously, as seriously as you are because you have been forced to take this seriously.

“The whole nation should understand and have a level of empathy to understand that this could happen anywhere any people in any community. And we should stand together and speak out about why it’s got to stop.”

  13. Harris on sanctions: “As you know, on this issue, for example, we applaud Germany in terms of what it has done as it relates to Nord Stream 2. As it relates to what we need to do domestically as well as what we need to do in terms of this issue generally, we have, as the president said, to reevaluate what we’re doing in terms of strategic oil reserves here in the United States to make sure that it will not have an impact, or we can mitigate the impact on the American consumer.

“Understanding that right now on the issue of energy, our allies have stood firm and unified in a way that many of the pundits didn’t predict would happen, to ensure that we are unified in our approach to this issue.”

    • Kudos to you, Man with no name, I don’t know how you were able to copy all that garbage text without a brain injury. It hurts my brain to listen to Kameltoe talk, and it hurts even worse to read it…

  14. Of course they put her in charge. She believes that a window size photograph of a firearm is an advertisement, that should be illegal.
And of course they put a liberal mixed race woman in charge, of locking up more black gun owners.

Yes, There will be the “collateral damage” when the arrest of white gun owners happens.

The best solution is to do what colonel Jeff Cooper said decades ago. “Give the residents of the cities guns, and they will solve their own problems.”

I would Add that you need to stand back, and stay away out of those areas. Until this mutual combat works itself out.

Because the police and the prosecutors have been ordered to stand down.

    • Chris I think the cheapest way is hand out hipoints, extra mags and 9mm ammo by the truck load. Then give the cops about a month off.
Bonus! It will create jobs. The sanitation department will need help.

        • btw
I own a Hi Point in 45acp. I’ve trained with it. It’ a great gun for those with not much money. The 9mm SCCY is better. It’s just a little more cash, but has better after market support. I’ve seen both for under $200.

        • I always say buy local if you can. The hipoint factory is 50ish miles from me.
Never owned one, shot a few, they is what they is. Contemplating on a 10mm. Cheapest 10 there is and I can always use it as an anchor for my row boat?

  15. Maybe someone could create a meme with the NICS data for the past two or three years with the “I did that” sticker? It would be a great meme of the day.

    • I’ve seen those stickers on gas pumps around here.

Smilin Joe, saying “I did that!”

      • I have stickers of Trump saying “I can fix that!”
Libtards at the gas stations scratch them off real fast.
Fuck them or fuck their managers whoever comes first.

  16. She’s been tapped quite a bit,,, this new post will be hopped on when the border tapping is finished.

  17. Gun control is on life support. It’s like Joe Camel laying on a hospital bed with IVs and tubes coming out of him and he’s now Joe Chemo.

Handing it off to the incompetent and wholly disliked Camel Hairyass Kamala Harris is akin to throwing in the towel. The Biden administration knows it’s dead or dying and nothing more than a talking point for the stupid.

  18. You can allow yourself to get bogged down in all the minutiae or just relax and see this for what it really is.

For me, I am so done with all the gas lighting from the left.

  19. Perfect choice for gat “czarina”😀 Send her to the border! Oh wait🙄

  20. Is it just a coincidence that all the pictures of Veepthroat show her with her mouth wide open?
    Cum and get it!

  21. Biden’s word salad gun control messaging was funny.
Harris’s word salad gun control messaging is going to be outright hysterical!
Can I get bacon bits with that?

    • yeah but the word salad is all wilted greens that they have to cover with crack cocaine dressing and shaved fentanyl or not even the Democrats would eat it.

Basically it would be a waste of good bacon to even have it in the same room as either of those two.

  22. Didn’t Pres. Bush already ban the import of “assault weapons” in 1989? Perhaps she can put them on double secret probation?

  23. Obviously they’ve given up, knowing they have a GOP House for the rest of Brandon’s term. Might as well stick Kam there. Even though she couldn’t convince you to exit a burning building, she can’t make things worse for their side.

  24. The POLITICAL answer to assigning her to this “going nowhere” legislation is to give her the “IMPOSSIBLE DREAM” so he doesn’t have to continue to support her, based on HER failure to get the gun control legislation moving.
With many of my Dem friends questioning the charges again Trump but not Biden for improper classified handling (that appears to slowly being quoted against a Biden return in 2024), there is a growing question about Biden/Harris support.

  25. But if Kamel tow wants Red-flag laws then Larry Keane of the NSSF would likely fall all over himself to use that as a bargaining chip to horse-trade that away to keep the gun-industry making money. Throwing a few of their customers under the bus is acceptable as something to bargain away since not all of our 2A rights really matter to them. Just their bottom lines.

it’s Bill Ruger and Smith & Wesson’s Hillary-hole compromise all over again. I don’t have to wonder why Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Bill Connelly, and all the rest of the 2A turncoats still got A-grades from the NSSF (and the NRA) even after jumping the aisle and helping the demoncrats write and pass last year’s “Bi-partisan gun-control Act.”

    Traitors gonna Treason.

  26. Biden (or those that surround and manage his every movement, like a decaying puppet on mangled strings) must love losing. Harris, the virtual no-show Veep who manages to be worse than Biden in speaking coherently to the American public and has shown zero progress on anything she has been tasked with by the executive office, is now the “face” of the Biden gun control message? I see it less as a sign of seriousness and more of a blatant attempt to sabotage her already-sinking image and give the zombie president an excuse to run with a different candidate for vice-president in ’24.

We’re going to need a lot of popcorn. Let the hilarity and press conference train wrecks commence!

    • It’s p0litics. They have to be seen to be appearing to do something.

Having Kameltoe assigned makes the job appear important more matter how ineffectual she is.

  27. The Southern Border kept her busy for months and then last week she lost the card that had both sides printed “How do you keep an idiot busy? See other side.” Maybe this will keep her busy enough that she forgets her plan to boot clumsy senile old Joe down the steps of Airforce One the first chance she gets, after all sticking pins in the head of her Voodoo doll of old Joe hasn’t done the trick.

  28. If we do not learn to take a more militant and boisterous approach to the protection of our rights… then we are going to lose!… the left has all the bull horns and flamboyant people to make them appear to be an overwhelming majority of the people… we can no longer depend on voting, and our so-called gun rights organizations to totally make our case… we have to be very loud and intimidating (just like them) by putting large numbers of people out there… we need to actually have rallies people show up at…we need to wear the slogans on our clothes as they do.. if not, you’re inaction will appear to be that you don’t care!…. The silent majority is just what it implies…SILENT!

  29. The wheels on the bus go round and round because wheels are round and around they go around wheels go…

  30. Guns will and always have been something that we as Americans will not fully understand and by understanding we will fully grasp at the fact that by understanding fully we can move from the past to the future and better focus and the present.

  31. Kamel Toe has proven ineffective at any job set before her. Wasn’t she to be the border crisis czarina? And, she’s done absolutely NOTHING! She fills a seat, nothing more.
