Yet again, gun control advocates and those on the political left have been dealt another blow after jumping to conclusions about the perpetrator of yesterday’s mass shooting in Boulder, Colorado that left 10 dead, including a police officer.

Once video was seen of police leading the suspect out in handcuffs, social media was full of descriptions of the suspect as a white man, followed by the usual condemnations of white supremacy, white privilege and crazy white gun nuts gunning down innocents, enabled by the NRA.

Today, however, the Boulder police have identified the suspect as 21-year-old Ahmad Al Issa. From the New York Post . . .

Boulder Police Chief Maris Harold identified the alleged gunman in Monday’s massacre as Ahmad Alissa, 21, of Arvada, about 20 miles south of Boulder.

She also identified the 10 slain victims, who range in age from 20 to 65, saying the last body was removed from the scene at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Family members were notified about two hours later.

Officials said Al Issa lived “most of his life in the United States” during a Tuesday morning press conference. Authorities are looking into his background, but did not release additional information on his past.

The fact that Alissa is apparently a minority is neither good nor bad. It’s just one facts among many that trickle out after these kinds of incidents. But the usual pile-on by those in the media and the gun control industry, jumping to conclusions about a fluid situation before facts are known as they did yesterday, was all too familiar.

In the past, all mass shooters were immediately assumed to be Tea Party members in initial media reports. Then they were all assumed to be NRA members. Invariably, those reports proved to be false (Google the backgrounds of Jared Lee Loughner, James Holmes, Aaron Alexis, and James Hodgkinson as just a few examples).

While his full background isn’t yet known, Alissa doesn’t seem to meet anyone’s definition of an old fat white guy, an NRA member, a white supremacist, a violent insurrectionist, or a “white domestic terrorist” (sorry, CJ Werleman).

Those facts, however, won’t stop those in the media and the bottom-dwellers who run America’s civilian disarmament advocacy operations from continuing to paint law-abiding gun owners as crazed, easy-to-anger, trigger-happy wannabe mass murderers. I

t’s what they do. And it serves their political purposes to further that narrative, especially after high profile crimes like what happened in Boulder yesterday. Don’t expect that to change, just because they were so conspicuously wrong this time (as they were after the Atlanta massage parlor shootings, too).

Remember when everyone thought 2021 would be an improvement over 2020?

    • If a suspect wishes to be taken alive, and complies fully with police orders, police are obligated to take him alive and deliver him to the justice system. Apparently he had the opportunity and took it.

    • Another odd thing about this scene is the fact that this guy has a bloody leg with no indication that he was treated for his injury as there is no bandage on his leg. The guy is bare foot and stripped down to his shorts and his leg is seen with fresh blood from high up his right leg and is running all the way down to his foot. Yet as he walks barefoot there is not a single bloody footprint and he leaves no trail of blood whatsoever. Not a single drop of blood could be seen in the video where he is shown walking escorted for about 20 yards.

        • Actually, NO church teaches this scripture from Deuteronomy–that’s in the Old Testament, which is the “Bible” used in Judaism. Synagogues teach this. There is no Christ before the book of Matthew–the first book of the New Testament. While Christians do read the Old Testament, it is only to understand where we came from, and to study the prophecies foretelling the coming of Christ. Christianity is based on the teachings of Jesus, in the New Testament…

      A couple of interesting bits in that article… One is that he thought Islamophobic people were hacking his phone and constantly pursuing him. Another is that he was bullied in high school — and got arrested and charged with a crime for punching somebody who had bullied him. That’s the leftist gaslighting machine in action, right there.

      People who may already have been teetering on the edge are likely to be in very bad shape after the past year of stress, isolation, and 24/7 media calculated to cause maximum anxiety. It’s going to be interesting (and not in the entertaining sense) to see how many more people go off like this guy as things open back up a little.

        public place and a man with an AR-15 or AK-47 type rifle entered and
        began shooting, would you hang around to see whether the rifle had a
        blank adapter attached to the end of the barrel? Would you watch carefully to

        certain it wasn’t a movie prop like may be used for training or would
        you simply run for your life? If you saw a total stranger lying on the
        floor near the “gunman”, would you roll that person over to examine their

        through their clothing was an exploding dye pack like used in action
        movies? What if the agency in question didn’t even tell the
        management of the public venue that they were having the training
        exercise? Suppose they never even told the media? Suppose you saw the
        alleged “relatives’ of some of those “killed” during the training exercise on
        TV news and they were crying, yet their eyes had no tears in them?
        Suppose the agency reported the “event” as if it were real…

      • Bullying has always been a problem in schools. However, until those turds in Colorado shot up their school kids handled it normally. Now we have social media that feeds the crazy and emboldens them. They are so interested in how many followers they have and how up they are the newest craze. These crazy kids actually try and nest each other’s kill numbers because numbers are so important to them. When you combine that with generations of kids being brought up to believe that they are special and they deserve everything someone else has you get a kid that’s hugely self entitled and can’t deal with the reality their parents didn’t prepare them for. These people then start to snap, crack and pop.

        It all starts at home and in the schools. Teach them that life is hard sometimes and you have to work hard to make something out of yourself. Reality doesn’t hand out awards for just standing there and waiting for all good things to be piled upon you because you’re special.

    The question now should be how he was able to get a weapon? Laws were broken as clearly he would be considered prohibited from possession. I’d also like to know if any of his relatives reported him to police and the information about the rifle was included.

    Colorado has the Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) law that prohibits the respondent from possessing, controlling, purchasing, or receiving a firearm for 364 days. Obviously AGAIN laws were already in place.

  26. According to articles this morning, the guy had multiple priors for unprovoked violent assaults that were plead down to misdemeanors. Historically as far as I know these mass killers acquired their weapons from FFL’s after having passed background checks. It will be interesting if this one matches the pattern of failure to enforce existing laws while demanding more laws.

    “Better if a guy named Sayeed Farouk was reporting that a guy named Christopher Hayes was the shooter.” Podesta wrote this in a Dec. 2, 2015, email to Karen Finney, a Clinton campaign spokeswoman.

    Podesta was referring to MSNBC host Christopher Hayes. Hayes had tweeted at the time that a U.S. citizen named “Sayeed Farouk” was believed to be one of the people involved in the shooting.

Common Sense from Montana, I believe you are absolutly correct about what happened. these things always seem to have perfect timing. either when gun control needs a little boost or when some really good progun stuff is trying to be pushed through like national reciprosity. or in this case, the judge’s decission to kick out the ban, as well as the bide/communist party’s anti gun push. we will see more of this I am sure. communist countrys don’t like thier people to have guns. they might get overthrown by uprising people. if they suceed in taking away all of our guns then we cannot rise up against our government and the government will have total power. and that is what the “democrats” ( communist ) want. I have been saying that for some time now.after all, gun control is certainly not making England a utopia like they thought it would. and little by little they are slowly losing their rights, they just don’t see it. but the people there who speak up against their government are starting to.
