KCI USA showed off their new B&T compatible magazines at SHOT Show this year, and I swung by to get a look for myself. As great as B&T’s products are, a polymer magazine with polymer feed lips in an extremely high-end, expensive, Swiss-made gun feels slightly out of place. At least to me. KCI has added some steel back to the equation.

Molded around the magazine at the top is a steel surround with steel feed lips.

The smoke-tinted, translucent polymer looks good and felt solid under the world-famous Jeremy S. squeeze and scratch polymer composition test protocol.

The KCI USA B&T-fit mags aren’t on their website yet, but when they do expect MSRP to be around half of a B&T factory magazine’s MSRP. We’ll do some reliability testing after these are available.

  1. As someone who owns B&T products that these mags are designed for I do like the fact these mags have a molded in metal feed lips, hopefully they are good to go.

  2. In terms of quality and durability the metal feed lips are just good sense.

But I just do not give a hoot about an expensive imported boom-toy.

Now then, would somebody please come up with a reliable drum magazine for my Ruger PC Carbine that fits flush under the receiver? So that I can give up these annoying 30-something round Glock clone stick-mags? Do that and I’ll buy multiples!
