Providing a steady, even beam at all times, the new headlamp offers a powerful 180 lumens and 4.5 hours of run time on High, and 35 lumens and up to 21 hours of run time on the Low setting. A large top button allows for easy actuation and switching between the High, Low and Flash modes.
The Bandit Pro uses a 950 mAh Lithium Polymer battery, sealed within the unit for service-free operation. It is rechargeable via a micro USB charging port. Red and green LED lights indicate battery charging status; charge time is approximately 3.5 hours depending on the USB charging source.
Featuring a Polycarbonate body and lens, the Bandit Pro weighs just 1.6 ounces with the attached headband (1.7 ounces with the hat clip adaptor) and measures 2.7 inches in length. The light is IPX4 rated for weather resistance and is impact resistance-tested to two meters.
The new light includes a handy snap-in hat clip adaptor to attach it to the brim of a baseball cap, or to adjust it further downward when using the headband. It is available in Safety Yellow and Black.
The Bandit Pro also comes in an Industrial model that includes a rubber strap as well as 3M® Dual Lock® re-closable fasteners for use on hard hats. The regular model has an MSRP of $39.00, while the Industrial model has an MSRP of $44.00.

I use headlights. They’re great for hands free. I have several in different locations in my garage, house and vehicles. Recently on a quail hunt I got there just before daylight. Had my head light on and got out of the vehicle to stretch my legs. My white led light got eye shine very close, within 20 yards. It was a big yote looking me over. He started moving to circle me instead of running off. I moved to get my empty gun out and loaded from the 4runner. Apparently he’d seen this movie before cause he took off as I was shoving 12 ga shells up the pipe.
I also have a predator headlight with a green light for eye shining critters at night. Here in CA we cannot hang lights on our hunting guns.

Got one and thoroughly thrilled. I alway leave on a mission to the grocery store or operation to the gas station with a full charge.

A wide-angle red-light head lamp with even distribution is what would actually be nice
What I want is a simple head lamp with an on/off switch…no clicking through low/high/strobe/colors etc every time you turn it off.
Different light levels are nice, but I’d rather have more buttons for each function than to need to click multiple times when turning on and off. I think two buttons would be great, one that will be on/off and the other that you can click through.
Streamlight use to be a high quality light. I used them a lot while in law enforcement. Most of their products (maybe all of them) are now made in China. No thanks. I can buy Chinese made head lamps all day for 6-7 dollars. Why in the hell would I buy one from Streamlight for $40? Just for the name? I’ve got the $6 ones spread around my house and barn, and on occasion have had to use them. They have always worked when needed.
Them lights on your head are the shits when night fishing on the river, face full of bugs. I color the lens red, that works.
What are you gonna do at 4am and the battery goes out…………….no spare…………….no thanks.
If I’m in a situation, like hunting in the deep dark, where I have to have a light, I have 2.
Another strap around my head I do not need. I do have a small LED light that clips onto the visor of my cap. Great for lighting up whatever is in my hands. Upsize something like that to make it reach out 25 yards or so, and you’ll have something I would buy.
