Strike Force Manufacturing has a new bolt carrier for the AR-15 platform. Thanks to the part’s aluminum phosphate finish—developed to protect engine parts on World War II bomber aircraft—it’s psychedelic blue. Designed in part by Todd Jarrett, Strike Force claims it will increase the platform’s reliability by improving the heat dispersion, which helps with the reliability of ammunition feeding. Strike Force says two versions are on their way: a standard and a slightly oversized “match” version. Both will set you back $189.
