A major tenet of the Chinese Communist Party is the strict regulation of civilian firearm ownership. They do so under the guise of “protecting human rights” and “reducing gun crimes.” They even criticize the United States for not following their example.

But there’s a connection between the CCP’s antigun propaganda and efforts in the United States and it doesn’t take “six degrees of separation” to see it. The line runs fairly neatly from the CCP, to failed Democratic presidential candidate and billionaire antigun crusader Michael Bloomberg and through to his gun control news arm, The Trace.

New reporting shows just how strong the connection is.

America’s ‘Dear Leader’

Bloomberg Media’s namesake founder and majority owner, former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, is a fan and underwriter of gun control and efforts to enact more of it. Restricting the rights of law-abiding Americans was a primary platform plank during his abysmal 2020 Democratic presidential bid.

During his campaign, Bloomberg claimed it was proper that he employed armed private security services while Americans not cut of his cloth had no legitimate need for similar armed protection. After all, among equals, he was a little more equal because he’s an extremely wealthy businessman and former mayor of a major metropolis.

Asked if his life was more important than that of a town hall audience member, Bloomberg didn’t hesitate. “Alright, look… I probably get forty or fifty threats every week…That just happens when you’re the mayor of New York City, or very wealthy, or campaigning for the president of the United States. You’re gonna get lots of threats.”

With beliefs like that, it’s no surprise Bloomberg’s presidential candidacy flamed out. The $1 billion he spent on gun control, efforts to buy more congressional and state legislative seats to enact more gun control went up in flames, too.

Plain and simple, Americans do not support more gun control.

Cozying Up To Communists

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) pushes antigun propaganda and strict ownership restrictions on their citizens and the CCP’s media arm helps. The party’s messaging is pushed on Americans too, saying China’s the shining example to follow because their gun control “saves lives.”

In an editorial printed in the CCP’s state-run media outlet, the Global Times, the paper chastised America for their staunch belief in the Second Amendment.

“Washington has been pointing an accusing finger at other countries over human rights … However, more Americans have been killed by gunfire in the country than American soldiers being killed in all U.S. wars,” the Global Times printed. It added “Gun ownership in China is strictly regulated, which helps reduce gun-related crimes and deaths. The U.S. should learn from China and genuinely protect human rights. The U.S. has no other choice but to adopt gun control. The right of life is the most fundamental (of) human rights. The right to bear arms cannot overpower the individual’s right to live.”

Never mind this is the same Communist Chinese Party founded by Mao Zedong, who is accused of murdering 65 million of his own countrymen. The CCP must count Chinese genocide figures differently.

If all the gun control rhetoric on both sides sounds similar, it should come as no surprise. Top-level Bloomberg media executives have been cozying up to high-level CCP leaders for years.

Breitbart reported on several meetings between Bloomberg officials, including Michael Bloomberg himself, and leaders of the Chinese Communist Party and their State Council Information Office, the media arm of the party. Those meetings even included a 2018 visit by Bloomberg News editor-in-chief John Michlethwait to discuss “strengthening media cooperation between China and the U.S.”

A Chinese Knockoff

Bloomberg’s antigun efforts include bankrolling the gun control groups Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action, which President Joe Biden used to choose his 2020 running mate. Bloomberg launched his own antigun propaganda media arm that’s masked as “an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit news site.”

The Trace has already infiltrated major mainstream news outlets through partnerships with USA Today, The New York Times, Slate and The Atlantic – hardly bastions of pro-Second Amendment thought. The Trace regurgitates familiar gun control angles and arguments while “reporting” on firearm-related topics.

They recently sent out a leading questionnaire survey to organizations and companies that do business with firearm companies in order to publish a “name-and-shame” hit piece.

The through-line is crystal clear. The Trace is bankrolled by antigun billionaire Michael Bloomberg and tax records show 70 percent of its funding comes from Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety. John Feinblatt, who heads Everytown for Gun Safety and previously served as a senior advisor to Bloomberg, is the principal officer listed on tax filings for The Trace.

Bloomberg and his media company executives have been closely aligned with the CCP and their efforts to impose strict gun control on their people, all in the name of safety and security.

Sound familiar?

  1. Half the country (and certain regulars here) believed Trump was a Russian asset when in reality its the democrat party working with the worlds communist leaders. Trump was such a serious disruption to the Washington left and people like Bloomberg that everyone went nuts. It was never that he was a particularly bad president. It was more that evil people in too many high public places convinced everyone that THEIR evil was HIS.

Certain aspects of his personality didn’t help much but I would still rather have him.

    • Biden also literally lifted sanctions on Russia so they could build the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to Germany. In a one-two punch, Biden helped Russia out more then Trump could’ve ever dreamed.

      1. Russia now has an immense new revenue stream which they blatantly stated would help fund their military efforts in Eastern Europe.

      2. Germany is now Russia’s bitch again, as this pipeline will give Russia immense leverage over Germany. Germany, being the heart of the EU, will now influence the rest of the EU to bend to the will of Russia.

Russia literally got everything it ever wanted out of Biden in a few short months. A submissive Germany, a compliant Europe, more money for defense, and America to back down.

Who’s really the Russian plant here?

Prediction: next, China gets a free pass to take everything within the nine dash line and will rule the east pacific.

      • Joe is inflicting permanent damage. We won’t be able to just turn things around like we did with Jimmy Carter.

      • Very true, but now that France is looking like it will eclipse Germany by the end of the decade, along with their attempts to foster stronger relationships with their oil-rich former colonies, the EU will likely enter a very unpredictable phase in which multiple factions will compete for the power vacuum that the UK started and Germany will make worse.

  2. Mao:
Every Communist must grasp the truth, “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” Our principle is that the Party commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party

  3. maybe that confirms the bloomberg connection to the wuhan germ lab that he has a major interest in..

  4. Since history clearly shows Gun Control is a sick agenda rooted in racism and genocide what does that say about the scumbags promoting it?

  5. This is the same Chinese Communist Party that, under the Clinton administration, took less than two short years, after they were given control of a chunk of the Long Beach, CA port, to use it as a Transit point for trans-shipping large-scale Military Arms two pro-communist groups.

Enterprising Chinese officials, at the Long Beach port, took it upon themselves to begin skimming military-grade weapons ( full Auto AKs, grenades oh, and the odd RPG, etc) and selling them the LA Street gangs.

When the story broke, Teflon Willy realized how devastatingly embarrassing this would be take his White House.

So, he adopted an NLP technique called “chunking up,” in which he globalized an international ” assault weapons” import problem, unrelated to the Long Beach arms trafficking, making it appear to be a national problem with all gun importers, thus transferring a bad Administration decision to a gun owner problem.

Billy boy began demanding an “assault weapons ban” for a non-existent problem, to redirect from his own misdeeds.

Stock magician’s trick. Look over at this hand to hide what I’m doing with the other hand.

A lot of people don’t realize that it was the Clintons who created the whole ” assault weapon” (non-)problem.

Just as Hillary’s campaign fabricated the whole “Russian Collusion” scandal to redirect away from her email dump.

I may be way off base, but I think I’m sensing a pattern here…

    • That would be the same bill clintoon who while kneeling down on Normandy Beach formed rocks into the shape of a cross. Only to be discovered the rocks were place there by advanced men…What filth.

    • We were all told how Hillary Clinton was the smartest person in Washington (perhaps the most conniving). But if she were actually all that smart, no one would have ever known anything about her email shenanigans in the first place. Well, everyone on earth knows about it. They then told us that it was all Trumps doing. Yet some will still call this conspiracy theory even though the entire world actually saw this happen.

They tried to do the same thing with the Jan 6th riots.

This kinda thing is all they do and it drives people crazy. And they act as if no one sees it. Oh yeah…there is a pattern.

  6. If there’s gonna be a party, and it is increasing looking like there will be, I intend to show up properly dressed, and ready to rock out.

    • Meanwhile, back in reality…

An actual federal investigation moves forward with their investigation of Donald Trump‘s personal attorney:

“Federal prosecutors investigating Rudy Giuliani have seized material from a wider array of individuals than previously disclosed, including messages from email and iCloud accounts they believe belong to two former Ukrainian government officials, as well as the cell phone and iPad of a pro-Trump Ukrainian businessman, according to a court document unsealed Tuesday.“

      • I too enjoy fishing in marsupial run jurisdictions. Let me know if they manage to find anything they haven’t already done.

      • In other words a fishing expedition to find someone who can be frightened into cooperating and read from the pre-written script implicating others. We saw this dog and pony show with the Meuller circus.
Meanwhile they bury the evidence that would reveal the misdeeds of the Dementia in Chief.

    • You mean the connection that Trump saw that backing Isreal to the hilt would force the Arab leaders to make nice?

  7. It must be uncomfortable for the “journalists” in the Global Times being the sock-puppet mouthpieces of the CCP. They must hope the hand and arm have lots of lube before inserting.

  8. I don;t know about you guys, but I find the image of Bloomberg bending over to receive the big hēung chéung from Xi Jinping to be very disturbing.

  9. Meanwhile, back in reality…

    • Look a distraction that may have incidental connections that totally invalidates everything the other people I like are doing. It would be more interesting if you hadn’t already spouted off similar nonsense for the last 5ish years that largely fizzled out. But by all means keep telling your story people are totally paying attention and learning from your insightful posts.

  10. The line from Bloomberg to The Trace and the US gun control propaganda machine is clear, and has never been a secret. But do I have to buy a book by some guy at Breitbart to hear the meat of the case showing him doing the bidding of the CCP? Bloomberg executives met with CCP officials responsible for media – okay, but as the author points out, they’re required to maintain regular licensure by these people, they would kind of have to have contact with them. Does Bloomberg’s messaging line up with the CCP on gun control? Yes. Is having China’s very own Ministry of Truth as the regulator of a US media company a perfect setup for spreading CCP propaganda abroad? Sure. Is that what the author showed is happening? No. We have excellent reasons to suspect that, but they certainly haven’t shown is a smoking gun.

    • “But do I have to buy a book by some guy at Breitbart to hear the meat of the case showing him doing the bidding of the CCP?“

Exactly, the article has statements about the connection between Bloomberg and China, but posts no facts or documents to support their conspiracy claims.

It’s all bullshit propaganda with no basis in fact, just rumor and innuendo.

Where is the article detailing Ivanka Trump’s meetings with Chinese government officials, cutting deals for her copyright and trademark goods manufactured in the Chinese came in the slave labor camps?

Well never mind, the multiple criminal investigations of the Trump family and organization will bring that all to light soon enough.

In the meantime, all you conservatives be sure to donate to trump’s slush fund, the gold gilding on his toilet is wearing off and needs replayed.

      • “It’s all bullshit propaganda with no basis in fact, just rumor and innuendo.”

That’s all Minor49IQ ever posts here…. we’ve become quite used to it by now.

  11. Bloomberg has to have his armed security. He has such a big mouth, and a contemptuous attitude to go with it, he would not make it in the real world without someone defending him. Disarm him, and stick his worthless butt on the lower east side of NYC, and he would not last five minutes. It reminds me of the Orwell line, “All animals are equal. But some are more equal than others”….

  12. I can’t begin to describe how angry I am at our “journalists” for not putting a spotlight on China’s “elite capture” program. It’s not just Bloomy who’s kowtowing to Beijing and the fact that the Charlies Lieber story (a scientist who was providing two CCP spies with research likely stolen from his colleagues) was only updated by the Harvard Crimson, makes this all so much worse. When did we become a nation of lions led by donkeys? We executed people for far less!
