Utah Same Ol’ Carry: Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day

C from Utah shares his “Same Ol” outfit, via Everyday Carry.

A S&W Shield in a IWB holster (anyone recognize a brand?)

He also has a Kershaw Skyline blade, a Fischer Space Pen attached to his wallet and his Wayfarer Raybans. The Fenix single-cell AA-size flashlight shows its wear – and to some degree its age at only (“only”) 300 lumens output. Big +1 on the spare magazine, of course. Because, as Clint Smith says, the fight will last until you run out of bullets.

What do you guys think of those lights that don’t have a momentary tail switch? Or, for that matter, a momentary switch at all?

Love the Seiko , classic I have the same one ,but customized by a guy in Hong Kong, plus a Omega shark strap .

I also sometimes carry a hand light without a clicky switch

  I think you’re right on there. Most of us aren’t comparing the lumen output of our EDC flashlight every 6 months with the top of the line. Find what works and use it.
  
  I assume most of the EDCs given with no holster are for show only. Ditto for the ones with loads more crap.

Momentary switch is a good idea. Light on. Shoot. Light off. Move. Light on shoot again (If necessary.) Light off. Move.

Anyone who has done any force-on-force training in low light conditions can tell you that end cap temporary on-off is a necessity. Lights attract return fire and bullets. After quickly illuminating your target get that light off and move. That is also the reason I favor the FBI method of employing the light.
