    • I enjoy mine, definitely a step up from my PTR91. Is it worth 3K? Welllllll… it sure is a nice rifle haha. Got mine for just over 2500 but of course I had to add a Geissele, Hogue pistol grip, Atlas bipod and Trijicon Vcog so that kinda doubled the price.

Honestly, for what you pay the Geissele should come standard.

    • Harris and the rest of those small time dems are getting ready to kiss the ring, the one Bernie wears. None of them stand a chance to him in this primary. We’re going to see Trump vs Sanders, the ultimate showdown between a true capitalist and a true red communist. This was always the game that was meant to be played. And it needs to be played.

      • “None of them stand a chance to him in this primary.”

I doubt this for a number of reasons. Not the least of which is the fractured nature of the Democratic party and their across the board insistence that the next candidate must check at least a few boxes that Bernie doesn’t.

Like Biden he’s too old, too white, too male, too straight. Oh, and his wife is under investigation. The fact that he’s an OG Progressive doesn’t matter. The new system demands that he not be one of the things he is.

The next Democrat nominee simply cannot leave every box on the identity politics list unchecked. That’s why the Democrats are, apparently unknowingly, heading towards a primary that will tear the party apart.

        • “That’s why the Democrats are, apparently unknowingly, heading towards a primary that will tear the party apart.”

I’d *really* like to believe that, but their raw, visceral hatred of Trump will unite them.

I fear more a candidate like Tom Hanks. Nobody hates him…

        • The problem as I see it Geoff is that identity politics has run it’s useful course.

Obama was able to unite a lot of groups that really don’t get along with each other because it was “historic” to elect a Black president.

Take three groups for example, all stalwart cohorts of the Democratic Party: Gays, Blacks and Transgenders.

Blacks, statistically speaking, are generally rather religious and in a conservative way. They’re not big on gays or transgenders. Look at gang culture for an example of what often happens to those who might be “a bit light in the loafers” at the hands of hardened gang bangers who still wear a Jesus Piece and go to Church. Even gangsta rap has a lot of talk about God in a Christian context. (Except Wu-Tang Clan ROFL!)

On top of that however, gays and transgenders really don’t get along anywhere near as well as the media would like us to believe. Some gays think transgender people are just wierdos while others think that trans people are Johnny Come Lately types on the political scene who are diluting homosexual political power or just making the LGB community look like a bunch of mentally ill nutbars. The LGB and the TQ communities are often lumped together as LGBTQ but really they tend to view each other with suspicion. TQ folks don’t think they get enough support from LGB people and the LGB people think that TQs are… shall we say, politically problematic.

You can go further into women, Hispanics, other ethnic and religious minorities. I mean, look at Ilhan Abdullahi Omar (D-MN) and then consider that she’s in the same party with Progressive and even just slightly left-of-center Jews. That’s not a marriage built to stand the test of time. Plus, a big part of the Democrat party is BDS, also not going to get along with Jews.

Then there are the divisions on age which I won’t bother to detail but I would point out as an example that polling indicates your average Millennial female likes her free birth control, wants access to legal abortion but also wants to be able to buy and carry a handgun.

The Democrats have too many cooks in the kitchen at this point because they’ve invited in too many groups that don’t really mesh well and each group has been promised everything they want even when those things are at cross purposes. That’s why the Left is resorting to RedForEd underhanded, backdoor politics in places like WV and AZ. Because the coalition they’ve created can’t stay together if the issues each group holds dear are actually focused on.

        • I think the Democratic primaries will be more like the movie Highlander, in the end there can only be one and it will be bloody. To many candidates trying to stake out their turf. Fun times, now where’s my popcorn.

        • “@ Geoff, there you are, Haven’t seen you post for awhile, I was kinda worried.”

          I’m still around, Possum…

(Gives Possum a scratch behind the ears…) 😉

      • I’m going with Tulsi Gabbard/Cory Booker vs. Donald Trump/Nikki Haley.

But then– I put money on the Orioles to win the World Series last year. Who knew?

        • Oh, man, I would love to have Nikki “I don’t get confused” Haley on a presidential ticket…

      • I’m not a political analyst but I think it will be Trump v Obama. To liberals Michelle is everything Hillary wasn’t.

Oh and I bought a Sig 716 over the SCAR. The black finish better matches my 7 Sig pistols, the VCOG and the black Rustoleum on my F150. I really want a Ma Deuce to mount in the bed.

  1. 8 days until the once-upon-a-time TTAG 3-star rated, and now massively overhyped battle rifle is gifted to someone for a few hundred dollars under it’s wholesale value.

That being said, I would be thrilled to have it. I need another good backup for my HK91.

  2. The only way that rifle would look good in my safe is if they can revise it to look like an original HK 91. That thing, special ops gun or not is butt ugly.

  3. Cmon guys. Don’t listen to this. What if it’s a SCAM?! I’ll just sign up for it alone. Everybody else don’t bother. I’ll take one for the team. Okay?

  4. >$3600 rifle
    >A2 grip

As an extreme FN fan and a former owner of multiple of their guns, (lost em in a tragic boating accident. Same one that killed Leslie Nielsen and John Candy.) I love the SCAR. But.. A2 grip? C’mon…

    • That’s just an optical illusion… I hope.

I prefer a nice fat M76 Yugo grip with a Strike Industries screw-on “finger bump”.

  5. I looked at one of the SCAR’s at a local GS. Not impressed. Doesn’t do anything a Springfield M1A Scout squad won’t do at half the price. Enough said.
