      • $800 is cheap for quality glass.

The question I have is “is this quality glass?”

Never heard of this outfit before. Can we get a review, plz?

        • ZeroTech’s sport optics are manufactured in China. They are designed and engineered at the company’s headquarters in Sydney Australia. The optics are tested at Sydney Australia before being shipped off to distributors and retailers or sold to the public. ZeroTech Optics has a subsidiary in the United States.

ZeroTech Optics was established in 2018 in Sydney (Australia) as the sport optics branch of ‘TSA Outdoors – Tasco Sales Australia (Tasco Sales Aust Pty Ltd)’ who partnered with a Chinese manufacturer to form ZeroTech. ZeroTech scopes/optics are manufactured in the same Chinese factory as the Burris Signature HD and Bushnell Match-Pro/Bushnell Forge scope lines.

Approximately 75% of the worlds firearms optics and accessories are actually manufactured (sometimes designed and engineered) through ‘Tasco Sales Australia’ in their Chinese partnership and then rebranded for the company that sales them.

        • TSA Outdoors has also operated under other names:

          * Bushnell Australia (from 2003-01-24 to 2018-06-07)
          * Hillver Scope Mounts (from 2001-02-15 to 2004-03-28)
          * Vixen Telescopes And Binoculars (from 2000-04-01 to 2003-07-22)
          * Celestron (from 2000-04-01 to 2003-07-2003)

Their official company name changed on 2000-03-01 to Tasco Sales (aust) Pty Ltd.

TSA also manufacturers or supplies small arms and ammunition and accessories under various military contracts world wide.

They also have a brand called ‘Nitecore Australia’ (since 2017 – used to be ‘HiTech Illumination’) which makes flashlights for Australian Military and Law Enforcement applications.

        • You might know the ‘Nitecore’ brand weapon light products under other names like, for example, OLight which is manufactured by ‘Fox Fan’ which is a company in Shenzhen, China, and has operations in Georgia, United States.

‘Fox Fan’ is the company in China that TSA partners with for firearms optics and most of their other products.

  1. With all the gunm hating going on- –
Target scope, Hunting scope versus Killzemall2 , Vengeance.
Which buyer do you think Big Brother scrutinizes the most?

    • Yeah, scope names do matter to the anti-gun bigots.
At least they didn’t put “AR” in the scope’s name, because that would make it unsellable on eBay. I have a whole bunch of old scopes that I wanted to sell on eBay, but just because the manufacturer gave the scopes names like “AR-223” and “AR-300, eBay called them “assault weapons parts” and temporarily suspended my account for “selling assault weapons parts” just for selling my Nikon scopes! I am not kidding, evilBay calls any product containing the letters “AR” an “assault weapons part,” including scopes, slings, red dot sights, etc., and punishes people who try to sell them for violating their “assault weapons policy.” I’ve tried arguing with evilBay ’til I’m blue in the face, but evilBay won’t listen to reason.

    • Possum, you flatter yourself thinking the government cares about you enough to “scrutinize” anything about your inane statements on “gunms”.

      • Leave the ‘Marsupial One’ alone, what do you expect from a critter with a long snout? 🙂

  2. Hmm. (Scratches head.) Way down in the deep dark recesses of my subconscious I have been thinking about acquiring a first focal plane scope with an appropriate reticle and very high magnification for long range (800+ meters) shooting. Alas such scopes have typically commanded price tags in the neighborhood of $1500 to $2000 which I cannot justify given my present personal circumstances.

This scope with desirable features for long range shooting and an $800 manufacturer’s suggested retail price has me seriously considering buying one.

Now I have to decide what to buy first: this scope or a suppressor. (The retail price of a suppressor plus the $200 tax stamp adds up to about the same price as this scope.) Decisions, decisions.

  3. ZeroTech makes a good product. I have one of their entry level scopes and am quite pleased with it. Don’t have a use for this one, but I wouldn’t hesitate to get one if I had.

    • “(a PLA factory as a NOGO)”

Then prepare to pay European manufacture prices for your glass…

      • There is no firearms optic on the market, even the ones billed as “Made In USA”, and with the exception of some Steiner products, that does not use at least components that are made in China.

Its a pretty good bet that everyone with a firearm optic has an optic with components made in China.

        • IIRC, Trijicon has a few options that use glass from Japan. Haven’t checked in the past two years though.
My AccuPower 1-8×28 and Mk5 HD 3.6-18×44 both have glass from Japan.

        • What about IOR Valdada?
According to their site, glass is from Germany, the rest made in Romania. Or so it says on the bottom of my 4×24 M1.

  4. Having ‘shot the box’ and seen marginal glass on a few ‘value’ optics, any optic review should include a vid covering the content from 3:00~8:30 in this Trijicon LPVO review………….

    https://youtu.be/SIeu9k7UoeI

So many ‘value’ optics look good on paper, and show what was compromised to get the ‘value’ classification.

The content in that 5.5 min of vid would go a long way toward separating the wheat from the chaff for consumers.
Seems like a good way to walk the ‘most respected’ moniker walk IMHO.

In fact, that YouTuber mentions he’s glad to review scopes sent to him.
    Any distributors on here? 🤔
