You could write a book cataloguing the dumb, false, and downright dangerous garbage that Joe Biden has spouted about guns over the years.

Americans, by the way, could absolutely own cannons during the Revolutionary Era — and long after. The very idea of any federal gun policy would have been incomprehensible to Americans at any time before the 1930s. Even then, no specific types of firearms were banned from use. It wasn’t really until 1986 when fully automatic guns were effectively restricted.

Then again, Biden — who once asked, “Why should we allow people to have military-style weapons including pistols with 9-mm bullets and can hold 10 or more rounds?” — seems to believe that any firearm outside of a shotgun is a military-grade weapon.

“You give me a 9 millimeter Glock,” Biden once told Charlie Rose, “and you have a thirty-eight revolver, I’ll kill more people quickly in here. You’d shoot as many, but I’ll kill more.”

Not long ago, Biden also suggested that cops who are rushed by an “unarmed person” with “a knife or something” should be trained to “shoot them in the leg instead of the heart.” Biden seems to believe everyone has his imaginary Annie Oakley–like abilities.

      • Or chunks of cut up sharp metal scrap that you just found in a dumpster behind a business one day or in a junkyard.

Common-sense trash control! And Hacksaw blade control! Hacksaws can cut up metal to load into a cannon, so when it’s fired, multiple people can be torn to shreds by scrap metal fired by cannons!

Dumpsters must be chained and padlocked so dangerous scrap metal cannot fall into the wrong hands! 😉

        • Why not just shoot the hacksaw blades ?
Or, I know: Shoot the hacksaw blades at the scrap to chop it up, then load the whole mess !

It’ll be perfect for deer hunting, or skeet shooting !

        • How iggorunt. All we will need to do is apply the hacksaw to the dumpster, a quick ton or so of metal scrap before we even start on the contents. I just hope we can get it all done before somebody thinks of just outlawing mass murder, which would mean we wasted all that effort, and now what are we going to do with a dam CANNON?!

    • “i can buy a cannon now.”

I have a bad feeling that if I want to buy a black-powder golf ball or beer can cannon, I better do it fast… 🙁

  1. Someone should ask if the secret service will implement a policy of shooting knife wielding attackers in the leg at his behest.

    • A knife-wielding attacker would get a couple of F-15 launched AGM-58s lobbed at him ( or her, they , them, lasagna , etc.)…. if the attacker had a “weapon of war” ( AR-15 ), an all-out thermonuclear response wound be appropriate.

      • Oops, that was supposed to be”AGM-158″ , although an air-launched car battery would also do some damage.

        • After 50 years of being part of the law making process and he still doesn’t know what he us talking about?

He is not as stupid as he wants us to think because he is not talking to us, he is talking to stupid people who vote straight D on ballots. They are soft brained and easily manipulated.

        • talk about “missile batteries.” I could imagine they’d land on a toe probably.

  2. “Two blasts in the air, one through the door, and the last one in the perp’s leg out of your trusty double-barrelled shotgun…. that’s all anyone really needs…. it’s just common sense !! “

    • The servants of evil (whether that means the harlot Babylon, or the beast that follows) don’t have to be very bright. They just have to go along with the narrative. Biden can usually follow instructions.

Biden never was terribly bright, but he plays the game.

    • On that.
Years ago in gunm friendly town, a liquor store owner shot a guy in the leg with a shotgunm who was breaking into his liquor store. Low and behold, the liquor store owner got sued.

  3. I hate to make excuses for the Big Guy, but Joe has been suffering from dimentia for a very, very long time now.

  4. Good piece! Thanks for keeping us up to speed on the lunacy happening inside the beltway.

Speaking of lunacy, please do a piece on the gun grab going on in South Africa as it is a not so distant parallel to what is trying to be accomplished in this country.

Americans need to know about this so that they will have more respect and vigor in protecting our Second Amendment rights!

    Thank you!

  5. Seriously…Jim Crow Gun Control joe is so Gun Ignorant the Secret Service needs to do a firearm count on the hour every hour to make sure that ignorant sack of democRat poo never has the chance to put his hands on a firearm.
Anyone who lint licked media pencil dicks and threw a tantrum over POTUS DJT running the show and ran to vote for Jim Crow Gun Control joe and his ilk has put The United States of America on the edge of a cliff. You hearing me enuf et al?

    • Speaking of “et al”, haven’t heard from dacian for a while….I think he used up all of the monthly allowance of internet ink. Luckily, Soros has him on direct deposit ( no swallowing required) , so maybe when he’s done riding the Unicorns at ProgWorld , we’ll get a glimpse of the rarified rose-colored atmosphere in the far, far left.

    • Okay, speaking about disappearing comments…

My comment above was in reply to Tom in Oregon at the top of the thread. When I clicked “Post Comment”, his disappeared entirely and my reply was placed way down here. His comment simply said “Mine shoots golf balls”. Why was that deemed unworthy of TTAG and taken down, when so many others here use the f-word against each other?

      • Dunno Haz…gremlins? Being somewhat of an old timer here TTAG has been a LOT worse. Anyway slow demented Joe is a Machiavellian genius. Himler approved!

        • Your comment is awaiting moderation

          “Himler”?

Who is this gentleman, and what relevance does he have to anything being discussed?

Is it possible you’re thinking of someone else, whose name you do not know how to spell?

  6. When stationed at Ft. Carson, there was a 66mm cannon that we fired blanks from during the raising of the flag every morning at 0600. This was a real cannon, not a plugged barrel, but hey it was the 80’s. Many times we would fire paper bags filled with golf ball over the grounds and over the nearby highway, great fun!. Although I did not participate, but I understand one shift launched a dead cat one morning. Soldiers will do about anything to keep themselves entertained.

Biden, “Come on man” you don’t need a AR47 or a AK15, (Sarcasm).

    • I went to a military school 1972-1975. Myself as well as the other male students were issued an M-14 that we had to clean every week and to pass JROTC class, we had to disassemble and reassemble the M14 blindfolded within 60 seconds or less. I set the school record at 46 seconds as I recall.
In front of the school were 2 WWII military cannons. Unsure if they’re still there now though, as haven’t been by there in some time. I always wanted to bring one of them home.

  7. A federal gunm policy would have been,,,,,,, So what happened in 1930?
Oh , Shall not be Infringed.
Well that was then this is now. Grandpa was more worried about post holes then pistols at the time. He didn’t have a mob at his gates, the young didnt prey on the old, and the family went to church, and they all loved America.

  8. Outlaw automatic weapons.
    Make every pistol be registered.
Automatic jail time if caught with unregistered pistol.
AI is able to detect weapon on CCTV. Technology is smarter than crooks.

      • Isn’t there actually quite a bit more to the Second Amendment, besides as you put it “shall not be infringed”?

A cafeteria constitutionalist, going straight for the desert.

“How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat your meat!”

        • …hey, teacher, leave them kids alone !! All in all you’re just another brick in the wall….

    • Yep! All those gang members will immediately register their arms. If by some miracle they don’t, when they are arrested carrying an unregistered firearm, the local corrupt DA will just turf them out on zero bail. You really hit on a great solution, here. Meanwhile, good law-abiding citizens like yourself can depend on the police!

      Not.

  9. I wonder what Joe would say to a homeowner who kept a baseball bat in his bedroom. After accounting for family members, he would take a full power swing without warning, at face level, at anyone coming through the door. I suspect Joe wouldn’t like that, either.

  10. To those who hate America and serve the CCP. In WWII the gays the mystics who supported Adolf Hitler. They got a suprize Night of the Long Knives
The Night of the Long Knives, or the Röhm Purge, also called Operation Hummingbird, was a purge that took place in Nazi Germany from June 30 to July 2, 1934. Chancellor Adolf Hitler, urged on by Hermann Göring and Heinrich Himmler, ordered a series of political extrajudicial executions intended to consolidate his power and alleviate the concerns of the German military about the role of Ernst Röhm and the Sturmabteilung, the Nazis’ paramilitary organization, known colloquially as “Brownshirts.” Nazi propaganda presented the murders as a preventive measure against an alleged imminent coup by the SA under Röhm – the so-called Röhm Putsch. The primary instruments of Hitler’s action, which carried out most of the killings, were the Schutzstaffel paramilitary force under Himmler and its Security Service, and Gestapo under Reinhard Heydrich. Göring’s personal police battalion also took part in the killings.Wikipedia
